What’s your most random crash? A crash you weren’t expecting, one where you kinda just threw your hands up in the air like “wtf?”.. or you almost died

My most random crash was landing a drop off a nice sized cliff at Meadows, skiing pretty far out of the landing and then finally catching an random edge in wind packed powder and then I lose a ski and do an accidental front flip. I sit.. shooketh for the next 20 seconds

Went off this one cliff, landed pretty backseat so for a solid 3 seconds I did this weird tail butter thing and then fell.
My friend told me I looked like I was doing some sort of tribal dance.

Cruised down a run, in the flats slowing down sliding sideways super casually. Lost a ski somehow and slammed super hard and blew out my shoulder. Had the same thing happen to me at copper recently without the shoulder trauma. Slams are always worse when you’re skiing casually and aren’t at all in an athletic stance.

did a sw 360 on a medium sized jump and landed fine as i usually do on sw 360, as i changed sholder to look over i catched an edge in he slush and fell straight to my back, wasn't ready at all

Skied in the Woods. Did a 180 from a small jump. Then i realised there is like a six feet drop behind the jump. I dropped the cliff switch and somehow landed it. Then i hit my ass to a tree.

Some kid cut out in front of me and the last second so he leap the lip next to a rail i was going for, it was to late to bail so id have to continue or risk worse injury to me and the kid, long story short, he went right into the back of my skis and spun me of the rail. After laying on the ground for a minute my buddy came over to me and said the kid was fine and him and his family just kept going and didn't bother to see if i was okay. Man I hate Jerry's.

I was going down a hill infront of the lift line and hit a patch of ice that I didn’t see. Then I fell and landed on my side as a girl from school was watching and we’d never skied together before and she probably thought I was a complete Jerry.

Caught both noses in a block of ice hiding under 3" of fresh snow going fast under a chairlift, flew down the hill, slammed my head face first pretty hard (got a nice concussion in the process, and a dislocated thumb), lost both skis, goggles, beanie, poles, etc.
Proper yard sale in front of everyone and I had no idea what happened.

slipped out after doing a front swap the dfd at my hill( done it loads of times)
fell back and crushed my hand and now its all swollen and hurts alot
i can only type with one hand an cant hold a pole:(

Me and my buddy liam euro carved into each other. Knocked both of us out and broke his collarbone I think. Def didn't see that coming, quite literally.

I think the follow cam accidental boost of the knuckle is a pretty relatable crash. You're focused on the rider and holding the cam steady then, oh fuck Oh Fuck, OHHHHHH FUCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see your shadow forever away and you're like "Motherfucker, this is how I die?" But you only windmill with one arm in case that's the final shot of your short, uneventful life. Then somehow your legs hold together through the landing like some sort of magic fucking springs and you ride away trying to catch your breath.

Catching a snow snake at full speed and getting shitwhipped.

Day after a powder day at squaw last year, I was just cruising and caught my left ski on a barely covered rock and partially tore my mcl. Was totally unexpected so my ski twisted 180 and I ate shit

Came off a lift and started to turn while talking to my friend and I caught an edge on a rock poking out and face planted. Just sort of sat there for a minute in disbelief, the lifty even came out and asked if I was ok. He then put a cone over the rock I hit.

Threw a backflip off a small kicker into powder, landed it, skied a few feet, then all of a sudden my right ski dove under some deep snow and sent me into a full scorpion. Back was hurting for about a week

threw a nose butter off of a knuckle last Friday, came in a lil hot an ended up corking out a big 3, still was about 6 feet in the air so i tried to tuck in my hips to bring around a 5. came down so nose heavy and ended in a nose press while landing palm heavy and fucking my wrists up. I guess it looked pretty cool but the pain was no fun

Skiing pretty deep powder, not paying a time of attention, sudden dip that I didn’t notice comes up and my skis dip down almost perpendicular to the snow, I eject and eat shit face first.

It was at (Thunder Ridge NY) the hill I first learned on! ... I broke my T-12 Vertebrae in my Spine.

I was the only young mans who could 3 on the whole hill. Naturally, I thought I was king shit and bum rushed the face of the hill despite it being closed for low coverage!!!! I dipped under the orange tape and sent it full steam ahead.. Straight thru the grassy mogul patch, i fuckin shot off the 1st bump and knuckled up HARD on the 3rd one. BOTH KNEES hit me dead in the chest and knocked the wind out of me, Im now in a high speed series of tomahawk style cartwheels. Honestly, I don't remember how many I did. I just remember feeling a VERY weird sense of STILLNESS within my own body, As if my brain were on a stabilized spinning gyro. And In that moment, I remember clear as day. Alabama Shakes playing in my headphones along with me PRAYING to God. "Please!!! Don't paralyze me, I promise I will never ski like that again in my life! Please just don't make this my last crash" ...

Got to the bottom, took a fatttttt dab back at the car. Cracked a brewie, and rode the rest of the day thinking it was a just pulled muscle.

Bro, I Literally couldn't even stand the next morning. My knees were giving out from the pain of standing up. Just coughing was a 8/10 on the pain scale. That was like 3 years ago. I don't feel any back pain whatsoever.

I do however pull ab muscles, shoulder muscles randomly all the time now which is mad annoying lol

Slam, crack goggle lens, stand up confusingly soaking wet (water bottle exploded in my pocket). Once I saw the chain it was too late, the day of reckoning had come.

Unpopular opinion but I think that shits whack. If a feature is going to he sketch and something you can't see it should be fucking marked. Look before you leap is whatever but if you jump onto a down rail and find skatestoppers the whole way down and get rekt? Fuck that park. If a lawsuit was ever reasonable that would be the time

It sounds ridiculous since Ive been working in parks for 16 seasons but I think that stuff is super fucked. Creative features are cool, but at the very least mark your shit.

I get it "wooooo cool urban" but jesus. Let's install rails that say "no grinding" and post up a security quard. Maybe leave shovels and make people build their own lips. Maybe add some mean guard dogs. Maybe even some dirty needles and a honeless person sleeping on the outrun. Urban as fuck.

Idk. If you cant clearly tell, its not marked in anyway that shit is super fucked. One of the guys was defending his parks buikding that kind of shit but it's ghetto af imo.

Hell loon had chain rails, skatestopper raiks, and all kinds of other shit for street cred like 6 years ago, but it wasn't in the middle of s normal rail line

Yesterday I was skiing down this run about to hit a cliff type natural feature on the side when something happened, I was dragged thru this really weird arcing turn and fell. My ski popped off which was kinda embarrassing. I guess I just caught an edge? Shit was mad frustrating

I tried to impress some tourist girl on a rail. I told them to watch as I wanted to do a 450 off a pipe. So I go to pipe and pop on and start to slide to half eay when i slip out and fall on pipe making me look bad in front of the chica. Smh

Caught an edge one time and reverted so I was fine but then my brake caught and exploded and so did I. Also I was just skiing along very slowly one time and i went off a little ledge, like an inch or two. No idea why but my ski came off and I landed boot first which obviously didn't slide so i just face planted.

I was going pretty quick and saw a banking where they made snow and I was like "it's fine they had to have groomed it" the snow making crew pulled a sneaky on mean, they had been making snow a hour before so it was all fresh and sticky. Fucking flew over out of control and rammed right into a orange poll on the otherside of the bump, took a huge chunk out of my top sheet during my first run on brand new skis.
