iirc B&E has full intuition liner and descendant is only in the heel.

Seriously my guy, If you're going to go against prevailing wisdom and do your own bootfitting, you must be able to research and answer all these questions yourself.
I myself ski in Craigslist $80 Salomons. I molded the shells in my oven, have experimented with adding foam to eliminate a bit of heel lift and overall I'm very happy with them. I think I started one thread inquiring about newschoolers who had cooked their own shells. I'd love to visit a good fitter and pony up the dollars for a fresh pair of boots but can't swing it right now so I'm happy going the diy route. All the information you need to do this is on the internet, just have to search and read, then search and read some more. I may be going about the whole process backwards I'm aware, but I don't post threads asking tiny questions or for advice on fixing my particular issue I look at what other people have done and try it out.
Go get some boots and mod them and see if you can make them work for you, or go to a bootfitter and have some nice new boots modded for you until the work.

I think the new DESCENDANT 8 has the hike/walk mode while the B&E pro doesn't.
