What Patagonia Jacket?

I am thinking about getting the nano puff not really a jacket for cold but depends what your looking for

If money's no concern Powslayer kit. Just bought the bibs and jacket, and couldn't be more stoked. Relaxed enough to not look rando inbounds but light enough for a good BC kit. Couldn't reccomend enough.

Plus insane customer service They said they would pay for the repair cost because I had some fraying near the zippers on my five year old bibs. (located in Norway so I could not send it in)

In my experience, all of their waterpoof shells (Gore-Tex and H2No) will keep you dry. With that said, here's how I'd differentiate their shells:

Powslayer: very thin, technical Gore Pro fabric. Bigger fit than most Arc'teryx pieces. Good option, though if you're not touring much and durability is a priority, you'd probably be better off with one of their other options.

Untracked: A bit burlier than the Powslayer, but warmer and less breathable due to standard Gore-Tex membrane and flannel backer. One of the baggier fits Patagonia offers.

Powder Bowl: Patagonia's burliest skiing shell. Good value, will probably last the longest. A bit slimmer than the two above. Significantly heavier than the Powslayer and Untracked.

Snowshot: Great value. Should be similarly durable to the Untracked, but a bit heavier than it and the Powslayer. More casual, baggier fit than the Powder Bowl. Probably the least breathable out of the 4.

If you wanna go outside Patagonia, Trew, Flylow, Strafe, and Norrona all make really great stuff. I've also recently been impressed by Holden's outerwear.

If you're looking outside of Patagucci, take a peek at the Flylow Albert Jacket, Airblaster Beast Jacket, and the Armada Atka and Balfour jackets. Im looking for myself for next year and am having trouble narrowing it down between the four. They all have light insulation (minus the Balfour), are fairly durable with good reviews, and are waterproof and breathable. I've had a Yeti Beast for a few years now but it may be time to retire it as after 5 seasons of use the waterproofing is going away a bit (it's seen a few tech washes) but other than that its a bombproof jacket.

I have the powslayer and love it. It fits well and the quality is top notch. That said, it is as patagonialuke said, very very thin. It does have ripstop but if you are using it for park everyday, it may have wear issues. I have a medium in this and layer with baselayer and a down sweater jacket.

I also have the Powder Bowl jacket but insulated. It is burly and thicker but the fabric is smoother than the powslayer. 2 layer goretex and insulated, you wont need many layers under it if you go insulated. It is generously sized. a Large was huge. i opt'd for a medium

I'm 5'10" and wear a medium for a more performance fit. If you like that freeride fit and some bagginess, go large on both.

I heard you can call the outlet store in Dillon MT and they will sell you the outlet past season and 2nd stuff over the phone. I have not done this but know people that have.
