Need Help Finding New Skis

Most people would agree that the ARV is not on the softer side. Possibly Edollos?

Dollos certainly feel softer than the ARV. I went to the new ARVs because I thought my dollos were a bit soft for me at 185lbs. Especially the nose of the dollo. Love the dollo and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again if I got the same deal I did on the ARV.

I have ARV 96 & Al Dentes (pretty similar to edollos). I’d say if you’re 60/40 park/all mountain, go with ARVs. I’m really light as well, 5’6” 110lbs, and the ARVs are fairly easy to butter/press for me and really fun outside the park. While the dentes are more fun in park, I think they suck anywhere outside of it so for that reason I’d recommend the ARV over something super soft like dollos

I mean it just depends on what the conditions are like where you live. Where I'm at I can literally ride my Vishnu Wets anywhere. While it's not ideal in some conditions it is still doable. Have you looked at ON3P Magnus 102s? Or the 90 if you want something skinnier. Otherwise if you're in Europe I'd look at some K2 Poachers. Yeah they aren't soft but they are softer than ARVs and would be better outside of the park than the Magnuses. You just don't really see super soft all mountain skis because they don't perform that well in those conditions. I'd recommend getting a park ski that works for you and then maybe saving up for a pair of all mountain skis later. That's what I did when I started skiing again.

LucassporterI need some help finding some new skis. I'm relatively small and light so I'm trying to find a ski that is light as well and on the softer side cause I don't weigh very much. I'm 60% in the park 40% everything else. Been looking at the Devastators or ARV 96 but I'm afraid they'll be too stiff. need some help on confirming if these are right or some other suggestions

Where do people get the idea the ARV 96 is stiff? I'd say it's medium-soft. I'm 5'7" 140 and have no trouble flexing that ski a lot.

yea, ive seen conflicting reviews on the stiffness but since im pretty light id like to have a ski that I can really lean into and play around on

It's not stiff. It's not a complete noodle but not charged at all.
