Absolutely unreal, the last few years there's been an obvious winner or top two that have taken different approaches.

This year I wouldn't be mad at anyone winning. Every segment had a jaw dropped.

Interesting to see people's take on this. I thought Peybens edit was the best - insane tricks and innovative style. Feel Kimbo is underappreciated tho, that part is bomb AF and every trick is delivered with the utmost steeze

Ok I've watched them all multiple times now and I gotta say ABM deserves the W on this one. Honestly I'm overall a much bigger fan of Peyben and Mango's skiing, but ABMs part really has it all:

- unique interesting tricks (the shots on the rainbow rail)
- massive jumps/gaps
- massive rails (that dfd elbow that's like head high, plus the ender
- more mellow stylie tricks (the switch on pre nose)
- does crazy flips off rails and shit
- jibs a fucking dump truck
- segment is pure heat, doesn't have a lot of filler shots

all the segments are dope but I don't think any are as well rounded as ABMs, I also just want to see him back in the comp next year lol

Jake - Most next level, tech, insane riding of the contest
Peyben - Best flow, best use of skis, unique skiing
Phil - The biggest features, the most proper style , tech as always
Kim - Good mix of tricks and different types of features
ABM - The most tricks, some of them are a bit similar, good variety but felt more like a contest
HH- Hard to beat the video he made 2 years ago, but I dont think anyone could of done better with the features he hit this year.

how the fuck do you judge that? all of them were so sick. Henrik, abm and bdog hit the biggest features with really technical and stylish trick choices that are unique to each skier. Peyben and mango had the most interesting and creative tricks while still going pretty big (peyben's fackie ollie over the fence and mango's nollie backflip like how though?). Kim's part was sick by anybody's standards but didnt leave my jaw on the floor as much as the others, thats the only one i feel comfortable sorting into last place (still crazy good though).

Creativity its 1 peyben, 2 mango, 3 bdog. to me creativity matters most which is what makes overall impression so difficult
technicality i got it 1abm 2henrik 3literally anybody based on your own definition of technicality
gnarly features 1abm 2 henrik 3maybe bdog? there were scary spots in all of them
overall: its anybody's to win. i do not envy those judges

t_hennumAnyone else feel like henriks was off? Just didn't seem like this was his, like someone else was calling the shots. Maybe unpopular opinion but kind of disapointed I was soo stoked to see some crazy shit from him.


Biggest problem with henricks for me was too much slow motion tbh, his spots and tricks were all still fucked up good

agree with this, Kim's is definitely slept on his spots were so sick and the last rail in the vid was so gnarly. also the vibes in his video was just awesome

4) Phil had the best spot selection and went huge but lacked the wow factor of the other parts


Are you blind, or just don't understand hard tricks? Phil did both lip2s, a fastslide back2 and two buck rail to rail transfers

Clearly an unpopular opinion but ABM shouldn't be top 3. He had a couple of heaters but it was 90% comp tricks on massive builds with winch tow-ins. He had 3 essentially stock jump shots (bleacher gap + don't tell me that bin lid made any difference to that dub 7) and 3-4 shots on pretty regular downrails. He hit a couple of scary features but nothing close to what Phil hit. It's a sick edit and he'll probably medal but it's not very 'street'. Henrik is the GOAT but clearly didn't have the time and or conditions to film something to challenge the other guys, his was probably last place. His ender was death though.

Phil is clearly going to win again, at least with the judges. He hit by far the scariest stuff, had a bunch of super creative shots and his style is unfuckable with. He also did some really technical tricks (I challenge anyone else in the world do what he did on that rainbow without dying) and hut the most unique spots except maybe Mango. For me second would probably be Mango for that reason. His opener was mindblowing, as was the Nollie backie, and he didn't really have any weak shots (same with Phil) and great unique spots throughout. For some reason I don't think he's gonna get a medal though. Peyben should probably narrowly edge Kim for third. It's hard to call because he had crazy creativity but a lot of his stuff was pretty low consequence compared to others. Kim had great spots, some gnarly shots and he's definitely getting overlooked here, but I would say Peyben probably edged him with a couple of moments of total insanity like that tips in two pretz two and having no filler.

This is a hard year to choose who should be crowned the Real Ski champ!! It seems that a lot of people are voting for ABM, which I understand, his part was so crazy. I respect his level of skiing, but I don't think that is what Real Ski is entirely about. He rides more like it's a slope style run in the olympics rather than a street part.
My votes would either go to Mango or Peyben because of how creative they were in their riding and the spots they hit. I like to see how creative and funky riders can get, not about how big they can go off kickers built in a park. I'm not trying to shit talk ABM, but I think the gold should be given to a riders based on creativity, not how technical their riding is.

Henrik was using them in a few shots, Phil was using them a lot and specifically his ender was not possible without edgeless skis. Also the whale tail in ABM’s part was aluminum so edgeless skis again. So dope to see the range of possibilities once you take edges off

Don't think anyones gonna listen to another opinion but here it is

As everyone has said this is insane, so hard to choose

Mango is one of my top votes for sure, the opener was absolutely mind blowing, Nollie backflip was insane, bunch of other dope tricks, and overall the filming and color/vibe were reeeally nice.

It is hard to give Henrik love here because of his past success, but I thought his part was so good.

Not sure why everyone is putting ABM at the top. I don't want to say it was bad because it wasn't, had some crazy/respectworthy tricks in there. But I agree with whoever said it felt like a comp. Just don't love his style

I am struggling with the responses in this thread that suggest there is a style or formula for “RealSki”. The people suggesting there should be “more this and less that” are way off. All of these insane videos represent a different form of style and creativity all brought together by out of this world skill and balls.

I would have a ave a hard time saying who or what belongs in street skiing because it is the different styles that make it unique as a whole.

Mango easily had the most creative but it looks like it was shot on a Sony action cam. Phil is definitely winning, he had the best one and it wasn't even close, there was maybe two or three unique features outside of those two videos in total. Most of it just looked like shit you would see passed around on IG by accounts called "sendit.dank" and "ski.swerve.send"

Lol @ everyone saying ABM's felt like a comp. Do you see tricks like frontside to misty, up rail to rodeo, or freaking TORQUE slide in comp? The only reason you guys are saying that is because of how clean his style was, but not everyone needs to have a super loose style to be enjoyable to watch.

Meant that as a joke as, yes, my wife knows nothing about skiing. That being said, a Dub 7 off a trash can (not to mention the rest of his shots) from Jake, Magnus or Peyben would’ve had everyone shitting their pants. I’m a huge fan of those 3, and a bigger fan of Henrik and Phil, but imo ABM had the most well rounded stack of bangers this year.

It’s all about who hits the biggest spots going the fastest. Save that creative shit for Line Traveling Circus. I’m looking for Stept style shots and big pro spots. Some of these dudes were hitting spots... others were hitting spots that only a top pro could step to.

Also, Kim is getting slept on big time. I thought his edit went so hard!

Bummer Henrik didn’t have more time to film, would have been ill to see him and Phil take this over.

the point I was trying to make is that if you have ever hit a rail, you would know that putting a hand down for a hand drag or something like that is, in fact, more difficult than just straight sliding

I agree however the edit doesn't have one shot of him doing that. Its all for balancing himself onto the rail or helping him to initiate a spin off a feature already set up for a hand drag. Its fucking bullshit.

I see what you're saying but I guess I'm just not mad at it. Like for something like that concrete ledge slide thing, it doesn't make so much difference if he allied, aired, or hand planted in its more the fact that he's sliding that fucked up round curvy ledge thats cool and impressive to me

Lmao do you have any idea how hard it is to spin around on a spherical pole-top with flat skis? And jump right into a full multiple kinked handrail after it? People fall off rails all the time, imagine now having to do a full surface swap on something that you basically have to keep perfect balance on.
His wallride was huge and steezy af, you're belittling it.
I don't think he used hand assistance to push himself up so much as keep his balance, and either way, that spot was sick.
Also, way to ignore his nollie backflip.

Just because shit isn't big doesn't mean it's not technical or fun to watch.
