Replying to J skis allplay mounting for all mountain
My J skis allplays seem to be extremely bad at tackling all mountain terrain in Utah. I mounted them in the center and intended to ski them for park but they were to heavy, so I am trying to salvage them into an all mountain ripper on hardpack days. They are pretty scary at highspeeds in rough terrain. They dont seem to be very poppy, I would go as far as to call them pretty dead. Usually this means they are more stable at high speeds, but I have found them to be very squirrely. My thought would be to mount them a little farther back so that I can lean into em more to drive em through my turns. Maybe -3 or 4?
feel free to ask for clarification because its really hard to put into words what Im feeling haha
Where have you guys mounted them?
What do you use them for?
and how do you like em?
About me:
5'9
170
Jumping off of everything that I can, and love to mob through chop and skied out powder
I would use em mostly at solitude and alta.
skis are 184cm in case your wondering.
long story short: very aggresive all mountain skier, skis are unresponsive and squirrely at highspeeds
I would love to try and make these things work but I may just need to get a different ski that isnt as soft.
