TrainGet the 14's. The binding will be the most effective at preventing injury if your target DIN is in the middle of the range, not either extreme. Also, just because the max DIN is higher does not make the binding more durable or "bomb proof". It sounds like you're not gonna grow too much more too, so you could even look at a 12 if that's the case as a type 3+ skier with your height and weight has a target din of 8, right in the middle of that range.

BiffbarfI know you're dead set on pivots,
But I'd go sth2 13/16 if you want a bomber binding that'll last you thru school. Only reason being solly brakes are nearly free and easy to swap when you break them ejecting switch. Pivots, not so much.
Also, at 140 there's no reason to have an 18 din clamp. Don't wanna fugg your knees if you can't go lower than 8
HunterDI'm thinking about setting the pivot 18's at 10 maybe 11 if I get them. I mainly want them because I found them on sale for 20% off and I don't trust plastic due to my old bindings. is it really that much of a safety hazard if I got 18's?

mystery3Where should your DIN be set?
HunterDYeah I'm recommended for an 8 but I go higher then that. my Spx 12's blew up and i'm pre-ordering Vishnu Wets in April so I would be buying 18's now for next season.
