Best pants are cheap pants. Invest in some quality long Johns and you’ll be warm no matter what pants you have on.

This, and also the best pants are likely not baggy parkrat pants. They're probably made with a more technical fit.

Also OP, do you have a budget? The best pants cost $$$

Are you a park rat from 2006 cuz you say it like baggy is still in? Lol I wear baggy pants sometimes but honestly I ski better in ones that actually fit and you look funny in the park wearing what looks like a garbage bag.

Cheap waterproof pants soak through quickly. A 10k pant will soak through in like 30 minutes. 20k is the minimum I would wear.

You know well then I guess I’m really lucky to live in Salt Lake where most pants are 20k regardless and at the end of the season $100-200 pieces get marked down to 40 50 dollars.

Same if you shop online with half a brain. Usually $40-70 if on a good sale. Gore tex shit won't go under $100 though.

Do not get Saga shells. I have the Anomie 3l bibs, which are great for the fact that they stay dry and if you wear a good pair of sweats youll stay warm, but the legs rip so easy from your ski edges and bindings.
