OFFER UP! Looking for $225 SHIPPED or trade for almost any Line Ski (180 cm + length only)
Here's the scoop on my Bluehouse Mavens for sale: I picked them up off Craigslist for $175 because I just HAD to know about this local (Utah, USA) garage ski brand I had never ridden before. I ordered some new bindings ($165) and 150mm wide brakes ($39) and mounted them. I took them up ONE DAY and realized they are too much for me. For reference I am 5'9" and 157 lbs. They are just too stiff for my liking so I selling them immediately. They love to charge and unfortunately my home mountain is Wolf Creek, CO (tight glade skiing, not a charger resort). The pictures are from today! The edges and bases are in great shape. Top sheets have some cosmetic chipping but still solid.
189 Bluehouse Maven Powder Skis. In great shape. No core shots, damaged edges or major scratches. See pics. 154-139-151
Tyrolia Attack 13 Bindings mounted 3cm back from core center to a 328 BSL (Mondo 28.5). Bindings have ONE DAY on them.
Original descriptions:
The Maven is one of the models that Bluehouse manufacturers in-house in Salt Lake City. (The others are China-made.) It's Bluehouse's version of the powder ski for hard chargers (who live where the snow is generally soft). It's a poplar-core, metal-free, laminate construction with glass reinforcement. Like all U.S.-manufactured Bluehouse skis, it has thicker, denser sidewalls for enhanced edge solidity and overall durability. It is rockered tip and tail, with flat underfoot, so it skims soft snow. Its heft and power are designed to give it good crud performance as well.
Super Fat Powder Skis with Rocker Tip and Tail.
What is the Maven?
The Maven creates a new skiing experience for anyone who has never ridden a non-traditionally cambered ski. The Maven is flat underfoot which means there is no camber. Not “rockered” but not traditional either. A zero-camber ski, like the Maven, blends the two rides (camber and rockered) into the perfect board for resort powder, choppy powder and un-tracked backcountry powder conditions. The flat camber and early-rise tail allows the rider to turn on a dime in thick trees and tight lines. The early-rise in the tip allows for effortless floating. An aggressive flex, stiffer than all competitors provides control and confidence at any speed. With 139 millimeters of ski under foot, this ski wants to stomp.
