So I've been doing back to back seasons for the last few year, I'm finding it harder and harder to stay motivated to go riding and try new things on the old skis. Just wondering what everyone does to stay motivated and keep their love for the sport going?
Priorities change. I was the kid that was at the moment almost every night alone skiing till close. Many times the only or one of the only people on the mtn. Regardless of conditions, it was all I wanted to do. I ride a lot less now even though I work in the ski industry year round. Being tired from working nights and scared of getting hurt
I love getting some good fast as fuck groomer turns in. Also love the pow days. Also been stoked on working at a mtn with a pipe again. Sometimes I don't wanna go too hard but a pipe can be fun regardless ifr you're going 1 foot out or 5 imo.
Also trying to ride more with friends. That gives me some motivation. Getting out on the touring gear because I love to hike.
Idk, don't sweat it but try and do whatever you're feeling on skis. Sometimes you might not feel like throwing down, or not riding park at all. Just have fun, and enjoy the killer days, even if you're getting them less often.
Do you ski park or all mountain? I found a good way is to go up by yourself and scope out a random crew to shred with for the day. You will usually get a new perspective and maybe find some new terrain.
