chickenNo, most of them are not. You aren't usually skiing in the rain. Your stuff will stay dry unless the snow is very wet.
OregonDeadProbably not waterproof but you can test it at home by splashing some water on it and seeing what happens. Hopefully it will be cold on your trip so it won't really matter but I'd want something with some decent water resistance. Stuff can get soaked through when you bring it in and snow stuck to it melts or if it gets set on other wet stuff etc.
natethegreattAre all ski backpacks waterproof? Do they have waterproof ratings! I've got a small 10L REI pack I wanted to take skiing out in Big Sky but not sure if it will keep my stuff dry.
