How do I slide a flat down box?

I usually ski at a really small mountain because I teach there so I ski for free and its like 10 minutes from my house. This is my first year learning how to ski park but the park there is really small and only has like 4 features. The flat down box is the only ride on feature and I can either slide the flat part fine then slip out on the down or 50/50 on to the flat and then rotate and slide the down part. The other three features are a double barrel rail with no run-up and two flat boxes put in on their sides so they look like pyramids with a small run-up

make sure you keep a decently wide base. you don't won't your feet getting too close together or there is a 1000% chance you're going to slip out and hurt your bum. For sure learn to slide a flat box and get extremely comfortable with that. Then ramp it up to the flat down. The only way youre going to learn is by falling honestly. It's going to hurt, it's going to suck, but once you start progressing you won't mind that bruise you had on your hip for a while

Just stay sideways and lean forward. Not much to it, just sack up and do it. Turn that brain off.
