After today’s avalanche death we are at 4 for season. All snowmobiles.

All so far had some or many ways they could still be alive today.

Know not many on here have a sled or ski the backcountry. But if you do, check your batteries, check your partners, read your forecasts and snow. Keep alive.

Really sad shit. And honestly with the amount of snow falling in-bounds, wearing a beacon at least on deep days isn't a bad idea either. We got presidents week rolling up on us with a forecast chock-full of pow and I hate to say it but its probably gonna get worse.

If we're gonna be fucked up and take bets on where the next slide that kills someone is gonna occur, mine is definitely on all those access gates at The Canyons. Way too many dingbats without gear that duck ropes are able to access stuff that has killed people in years past.

Coming from a sledder, we are the worst. Every sledder I know has never seen an avy bulletin, never even slightly thinking about a slide. I see multiple people playing on the same slope in shit conditions all the time and all sorts of dumb shenanigans.

far skiers left off 9990? ski patrol doesn't seem to care about that zone, I've witnessed them watch a dozen people duck without saying anything
