Reoccurring tailors bunion

So... like... you don't have a tailors bunion sometimes, and other times you do? like it goes away?

or do you mean it only makes itself known in tight footwear like ski boots? the Seth Morrisons aren't really wide anyway...



The solution is to punch out the 5th metatarsal in your ski boot... it's a pretty easy process that any bootfitter worth their salt can accomplish.

It goes away every summer and comes back mid season. I understand that punching it out is deffinetly the best solution but I hate swimming around in my boot and losing reaction time, I was wondering if there is any other way to go about this really just looking for the holy grail that doesn’t involve me getting my feet cut open

Do you wear orthotics? or do you have any in your ski boots?



either way, if you have a bunion that gets inflamed more and more throughout the season, it sounds like you just need to get a punch and deal with it. You shouldn't be needing that much pressure across the forefoot anyhow. Your heel instep and midfoot should be sufficiently held in place within your boot to the point where there shouldn't be a terrible amount of pressure on either metatarsal

The cabrio design of full tilts isn't really the best at holding in the mid-foot and is best suited for those higher insteps in my experience.. for example, I have a pair, and a very average instep volume.. and my god, I cant get them to hold my heel in place for the life of me. So there they sit on a shelf, never being used, and the liners are now in a pair of telemark boots that I use on occasion when I feel like dropping knees.

But the real answer here is hit up a legit bootfitter and buy the one that fits. Or punch yours out. The interwebs can't fit one for you.

Quit procrastinating like every person with a bunion and get that shit cut off. Problem solved. World of possibilities unlocked.
