2 ski quiver for the Rockies and Arizona.

Hey everyone. I have a pair of ARV96s that I am using for just about everything on my home mountain (Snow Bowl) and they seem to work pretty well for a lot of things. However, i'm looking to round that off with a second pair that fills in the gaps. I don't really want to a dedicated groomer ski, and I enjoy being able to stop in the park at the bottom of runs and try things out. I'd like a ski I can take on roadtrips to the rockies and do a (noobish) run through the park with, but also be able to ski some powder/leftovers. Twins preferred.

I'm 155lbs 5'9 advanced intermediate skier, trying to get more aggressive.

Been looking at the ON3P kartel 108s but they are pretty pricey (might be worth it) but i'm curious what else is out there.

I have an ARV 96 as well for my park/all mountain ski. I got a pair of Surface Outsiders that I use for deeper days and just playing around the mountain. The outsiders are on sale rn too so I think it could be a great option if you’re on a budget

I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately I have not heard good things (at least on reddit) about the durability of that brand.

Curious to hear, what you think the limitations of the ARV96 is. I'm trying to gauge my skill level vs. equipment in some scenarios.

Snow bowl has been getting sick coverage lately. Honestly, your arv96 are almost a one ski quiver for our mountain. If it gets super deep or you’re hiking the bowl, you may need something over 100 but we live in Arizona lol and 96width is pretty versatile imo

I haven’t felt limited by the ARV much at all other than the few times I rode them in like 2’ of powder, but that’s expected as it’s a 96 waist ski. I’m also mounted -2 which should contribute to their powder skiing limitations. For park and everywhere else on the mountain, I feel like they’re super solid and playful when you need them to be.

As for Surface, I’ve heard that their durability has increased significantly in recent years. I haven’t spent a ton of time on my pair, but they seem to be well built and should hold up to the skiing I have planned for them since they won’t touch many rails with ARVs & Al Dentes in my quiver.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I'm pretty happy with the ARV96s. i didn't really like them at all in crud (maybe thats just me right now?) so I think i'd like to get a ski that can handle that and powder at some point.
