What is the ideal width of a ski for sending big kickers?

My volkl kinks are the best width ive ever had but they are only 122 89 112. Ive got my eyes on the revolt 95s but do you think 95 underfoot is sub optimal for hitting jumps?

I don’t know where you ski but I personally prefer my skis 100mm+ underfoot.

Love my revolt 95s have had no problems with their performance anywhere, rails, kickers, cliffs, etc. Honestly for a park ski, they're great all mountain skis

Honestly you could go all the way up to 106 and it would still handle park and jumps fine, wider skis for park are more common nowadays so I wouldn't worry.

Unfortunately 94 is about the max waist width allowed for big kickers. I hear at a51 at key they'll pull your epic pass and beat your ass if you try the big line on gaper-ass 100+mm 'all mountain' skis

real talk ive noticed at about 100 my skis start to catch wind more. it was pretty much negligible on 88, i notice it a bit on 98 but it hasnt really boned me yet. ive gotten a lil bucked midair jumping on 109 if its windy or if i tweak a shifty weird. nothing you cant adjust for though. i always feel like i notice it most at the beginning of the season

In terms of just hitting park jumps, 80s and 90s in the waist is optimal. I guess the 80s waist skis will be a little quicker edge ton edge and a tad lighter but honestly that’s splitting hairs as far as park jumps are concerned

If you're serious about sending big kickers I'd recommend buying a pair of these: https://shop.slatnar.com/skis/world-cup-skis/air-world-cup.html Nothing else will give you this stability, the swing weight on these is surprising low too - you should have no problem throwing dubs on them

I would say to go as wide as you can. It will help spread out the impact and make it more manageable. I have J Vacation’s and they’re a 104 underfoot and rip kickers. Not too wide to carve or jib either.
