PhreeKandiGet them. You wont regret it. Revision has very good customer service.
IHUFFPAINTIn terms of the actual construction of the ski they held up OK. In terms of the business side however, I would compare it to the bus station bathroom.
SofaKingSickSo you’re gonna get lots of joke answers because Revision went down in flames and left a lot of people hanging
So I bet you’re seeing them on like skis.com or something, just know that the company no longer exists. Idk how warranties work with skis.com or if you are concerned with that but it’s worth mentioning
As for the skis themselves, they were fine as far as I can tell you. I skied the talisman a lot and I really liked it for what it was. Never tried the blinks myself but idk if I’d consider a 107mm waist ski a park ski (even if they’re nearly symmetrical)
I’d fo with something else personally. What made you choose this product over others? Are you just looking for a park ski?
5.1isaverageI am buying them off of skis.com. I know about how the company fucked over a bunch of customers. All I need to know is are the skis good or not. I chose the revisions because I skied a pair a while back. I am just looking for a park ski that’s really soft and flexible.
SofaKingSickI’d go with something else then. They’re 107 underfoot, that’s only a park ski by your stoniest friend’s standards lol
Are you looking for a certain width or just any good park ski (presumably for a good price)? You can do better
Also it looks like they’re sold out on skis.com anyway
RudyGarmischDude let me tell you about the customer service and more about the company. It’s even more important if you’re buying them off skis.com
5.1isaverageI know about the customer service. The only reason I posted this is to find out if the skis are good or not
toastThere are much better skis out there than Revisions from brands that support skiing and our community. Look into Line, JSkis, ON3P, or plenty else and you’ll find a great playful, midsize ski that’s probably better than the Revisions you’re interested in.
5.1isaverageThe thing is I don’t have that much money. The revisions that I am looking at are only $200. I would love some line blends or some ON3P skis but they are just way out of my budget
TGraham9All Surface skis are on sale for $299 right now (I believe). Check out some of Jack Finn's edits and see if you like the look of them. They make a wide park ski. I don't know why anyone would ever consider buying Revisions after what happened, i dont care if they are from Skis.com or the scumbag who started the company.
5.1isaverageI just want something a little skinnier than my powder skis to just ski around on daily. I have 120 bent chetlers and yeah they are fun but I need something a little light and smaller to ski around on.
DlonettiIm a firm believe in wide park skis and think someone could totally ride 107 underfoot as park skis I ride 106 vishnu wides as a strictly midwest park ski and love them and have progressed a ton on them. Granted beginner park skiers probably shouldn't be going right thick skis in the park they're still a ton of fun. Probably wouldn't push past anything more than 110 at the very most for a "park" ski tho
5.1isaverageI’m not a beginner park skier and even when I started park I was skiing on 96 under foot then had a pair that were 105 then went to bent chetties as I got a killer deal on them but now I just need around 105s
DlonettiI just mean that for beginner park skiers it’s probably easier to have skinny skis that are lighter, but glad you’re on the thick park ski movement. If you’re tryna find park skis in the 105 range check out the Vishnu wides I love mine soooo much
5.1isaverageI’ve been looking all over for any kind of vishnu and none are for sale
DlonettiAh yeah they’re tough to get if you don’t do presale and the wides are more rare keep your eyes open tho
