My president told me winters will just keep being cold with lots of snow so I don't know what everyone's so worried about. Only people who know what they're doing can become president so he must be right

The author if this article Porter Fox wrote an intriguing book about this called, Deep. I would highly recommend anyone interested in the topic of skiing/climate change read it.

I love how the author of this article drops his traveling skiing claims,
"I’ve skied remote places, like the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, where a farmer at the base of a 16,000-foot peak I had just climbed and skied told me his village was relocating because the glacier no longer provided enough water. I’ve hiked and skied at New England resorts that have closed because of a lack of snow and money for snow-making. And I’ve visited dozens of resorts in the United States, Canada and Europe where the wealthy and not-so-wealthy gather — and where snowpacks are shrinking."
This guy is calling out all the "rich people" for not saving winter when he contributes heavily to climate change. Airplane exhausts are one of the highest consumer related carbon sources. I guarantee this guy flew to all these places he's claiming besides the northeast. He probably drives up to Vermont every Thursday in the season. Fuck this guy.

I don't hate him just because of his views on climate change. There's a lot of other things that I dislike (and a few things that I do like) about him. There's an uncountable number of problems and there always will be, so what's wrong with just picking one or two to dedicate your thoughts on? For skiers, one of the biggest that affects us is climate change so that's probably why so many of us consider that a priority. Most of our views on it are the opposite of Trump's.

What's wrong with picking 1 or 2 issues to dedicate your thoughts on? You'll learn to diversify your opinions as you get older. (And wiser... assuming you're a young buck because that's an extremely adolescent mindset.)

You're a human.. a participant on this GIANT earth and you can only find the intellectual capacity to focus on 1 or 2 problems in the world?

How much sportsball do you watch? How many low iq, dumb dumb athletes could you identify in a crowd?

Following current events and politics is not nearly as futile as most people would have you think and it's far more entertaining than anything else going on in the world.

You should have MANY opinions that are your own. You deserve them.

I don't mean only picking a few things to have opinions on. I mean picking a few things to dedicate your time and energy to. For example, I care enough about climate change that I'm putting all my time and money into my degree so I can then put all my time into creating better renewable energy sources and hopefully help sway the direction the climate is going
