My next All Mountain Park Ski

The only ones I have ever heard people shit on are the j skis if that helps at all.

Been on 2013 Jeffrey's 108, 19 blends and most recently 19 Kartel's 96 so I won't speak about the others. That being said, both ON3P were solid for my east coast needs. My blends immediately turned into a dedicated park ski in comparison. Also just sold off the Jeffrey's after 6 years of ownership and they looked just as good as they were brand new. There's a reason why they are so highly regarded for quality if they are not used to smash into metal objects. So don't be turned off with the negligible higher price tag of the ON3P. Good luck

Currently have 3-4 days on my arv 96ti, only for all mtn skiing and am likkng it so far. Would like to see better durability though given this is their higher end version of the arv 96. First rock I rode over left a significant dinger in the base I had to ptex. In all my years of skiing/snowboarding over rocks, this was a surprise given how small of a rock it was.

Performance wise it has handled everything well and skis as expected. Dont notice anything noticeable about having two sheets of metal compared to my other non metal skis (black crows atris), but then again I ride in the PNW so I may need harder snow to notice. Not sure how it flexes vs the reg 96, but the ti version isnt anything stiff, id put it at medium-stiff leaning towards medium.

Keep in mind tho im 5’11” 180 lbs and on the 184, the longest size it comes in. Glad I didnt go 177, but def dont think I could handle anything longer.

CUSHKOMAIn the hunt for my next all mountain park ski, currently on some Line Blends and Armada Edollo that I don’t see lasting into next season. I love my Blends but I feel they are a little too soft for my style of riding, and my Edollos are awesome too but I’m bummed that they don’t come in 188 anymore so it’s time for something new. My top choices are as follows:

Armada ARV 96
J Skis All Play
ON3P Kartel 96
Faction Candide 2.0

Any preferences or opinions on these whips would be appreciated. Also I’m 6’4 and weigh 200 so my size plays a bit of a factor in my selection.

Homie, not to shit on you but those are all expert skis, you dont need to be a expert to know the best way to figure it out is to ski them. There is nothing anyone can say that will be anywhere near as conclusive if you rode all of them.

Kartels, PB&Js or Poachers imo.

The ARV certainly isn't an expert ski, anyone could ride it.

Also not everyone has access to a solid shop where they can demo skis or a big resort that puts on demo days and that kind of thing. He's given his size and skis he's liked or disliked. This is a pretty solid ski advice thread.

To add about the Kartel 96. I purposely dedicated some time testing the "hybrid" side cut design on groomers. There was a noticeable difference if you power the tips as intended which was a fun surprise. Only saying this in case you appreciate carving as part of an all mountain experience. In full disclosure, I thought it was just a marketing gimmick but I was wrong.

That's all good, it doesn't read that way.

Finding a shop to demo those particular skis would be difficult outside of like 3 places in the country. Most shops may carry one of those brands amongst the run of the mill Head, Volkl, Rossi, K2 type skis.
