.Dadthat's your problem. i don't care how durable people say a ski is, slamming them into metal all day is not good for them and they will fall apart. even pros go through 3-4 sets a season and do you know why? because they're hitting rails and jumps every day.

AricacriI have skied park almost everyday for the last two months on them and they just didn’t hold up. They have been the most fun ski I have ever put under my feet. Light, flexy and the rocker is a huge refreshment on skiing. I don’t think I’ll have as much fun on any other ski. Sad to see them go so soon

Whenever someone posts issues with ON3p they always chime in and ask why they weren't made aware of an issue before a thread was made.

SoAnGPretty sure OP wasn't hating. The way I read it was that he's just bummed to retire them. He actually admitted to almost using them for 60 days and complimented how great they were. To the extent as to claim he will never have as much fun on any other ski. I don't know OP but he shouldn't be flamed.

LineSkierSo it's cool for people to post positive things about their gear but not negative ones? This whole idea of "let us try to handle it before you say anything in public" is just PR speak for "we'd rather try to resolve the issue privately and keep it under wraps, or at least make sure you can also say something positive about us if you're going to say something negative about our gear." If you don't understand that then you don't understand how corporate brand management works. This is 100% textbook. It's like when you have a really negative experience in a hotel and the management says, "You should have contacted us before you wrote a review on TripAdvisor." No. Fuck that. One has nothing to do with the other. People are entitled to say whatever they want about their gear-- and they should-- because that's how we, as a community, share knowledge about stuff like this.

Edit: The right thing to do from a brand management perspective is to publicly acknowledge the complaint and make a public offer to help. That's how you signal to your customer base that you take this stuff seriously. You don't do it by admonishing them for complaining.

VISHNUI happen to agree with all of these points from a business philosophy standpoint, I was simply stating it would be more effective for this person to contact me directly as I answer DM’s and email minutes after I receive them usually.

supersquidThis isnt a yelp review from a hotel chain. This is most likely a kid aged 10-20 claiming that he broke his park skis after two months of skiing. He provided no pictures and said he skied park on them for two months. In this two months he could have either been learning to hit rails or trying to disaster everything in sight, we have no idea. My point is its all speculation as to what happened and what the state of the skis actually is. Making a post about it without talking to the company is basically asking for people to defend the company product or hate on it blindly with speculation or anecdotal evidence. neither of which is a smart way of conflict resolution. Make a post about it after you have talked to them and received an answer. If the answer they give seems unfair then you can make it public.

LineSkierGuy can post whatever he wants about his own gear, regardless of whether he's talked to the mfg first. You're not the internet police.

Obie.Still pretty fucking wack to feel the need to create a NS thread that doesn't really solve your issue @ all first before doing anything else. Whether he had a disclaimer that he liked them first or not it may of made someone who was thinking about them being a next purchase change their mind -- sometimes thats all it takes.
