If you were expecting a fucked up porno based on the title, I'm sorry to let you down.

Many airlines have a policy similar to something that says 50lb limit for ski bag and only one pair of skis per bag. Boots + skis+ poles count as one item.

Anyone ever gotten busted at the counter trying to take two skis in a bag even if the weight is good? It's kind of dumb. If I have the bag under 50lbs, does it really matter? I've never had an airline ask to check my ski bag before but also never tried bringing two skis in the same bag either. Risk is $75 oversized charge. Flying SW so bags are free anyway but...

Airlines in general are fucked, so expensive to check any ski bag. So anyoning

I fly Air Canada and have never had an issue with two sets of skis in the same bag. AC alow a boot bag to be checked for free with the skis but someone told me the other day its best to bring boots as a carry on in case your luggage gets lost then at least you have your boots for rentals.

Yeah always bring boots for two reasons:

1) you know they aren't getting chucked 6ft to pavement like the rest of your bags

2) when your bag gets lost you can still rent skis and not have a shitty day cuz you won't be on rental boots

I’ve flown with 2 pairs of skis in my bag, I’ve had my ski bag searched, no one has ever tried to charge me extra for 2 skis. I think you’re good.

Fly yearly with Lufthansa to ski over in Austria, my girl and I share one ski bag, and use boot bags as our carryon. This way you are guaranteed to have your boots atleast. Have had them lose our skis luckily on the trip back home. Very easy to use a double ski bag, fit 2 skis and some outerwear and be under the weight limit.

My friends and I put 4 in a bag when we went to whistler and they only charged us for 1. That was Alaska air though. I’d highly recommend you carry your boots on as it would suck to ski in rental boots.

Not sure but I've flown with as many as 3 boards, 2 sets of bindings before. Never had a problem. Actually generally always have at least 2 boards just in case even if I only have one set of bindings.

Honestly I think as long as it fits in the bag and the bag meets the airlines size and weight requirements I don't see it being an issue. Has anyone actually ever had an issue with this?
