It’s funny how volkl was a super progressive company for so long. They made really dope skis that were bulletproof and had a ton of clout. Nowadays tho they’re just kinda meh... I think faction’s construction is also lacking with their increased volume.

Does anyone know about Line construction/ durability? I’m looking at getting an used set of the Opus Magnums.

has anyone else noticed that on every selling platform there is always someone selling one single faction ski because they broke the other one? can anyone voucher for faction's garbage durability or am I pulling this out of my ass?

My friend breaks a pair every other week, faction has sent him over 15 pairs of skis from warrantee straight up

Thick edges are heavy and I still bash the shit out of them and crack those in 2 sessions

I'm currently riding on a (bought used) pair of 2014 Magnum Opus skis, they've been bombproof. I can't speak towards the newer ones though.

Myself and a good mate road Line skis for a while and had a lot of issues with durability, my ski had issues with the top sheet coming off and my mate had issues with delams.
I was riding the 2016/17 Blends and my mate was on the 2016/17 and 17/18 Bacons. The rep was really good to us saying that it shouldn't have been happening and we got new one but we both moved to different brands. Cant say what the new ones are like but we had some horrible luck.

I know at least 4 different people that have broken at least 3 pairs of factions each. Almost always right behind the heel piece. All were using skis from the CT series, unsure how any of the other ones hold up.

Similar situation. The bases on my Sick Days couldn't hold wax for more than a few runs. Even took them to a shop in case I was applying it wrong, but I could still feel the skis slowing down mid-run as the wax came off. That was my last year on Line.
