Question about Full Tilt First Chair 10 (2016-2017) with Booster Straps

Who has fitted Booster Straps on a Full Tilt First Chair 10 (2016-2017)?
I know you are supposed to have the straps under the tongue but with these boots the tongue doesn't fit anymore this way.
The boot comes with FT power straps that fit over the tongue. If I put the Booster Straps the same way, they fit, but does this improve anything compared to the FT power straps?

I was also thinking about getting booster straps but I find them way to expensive. Couldn't a narrow lashing strap do exactly the same, if not even better?

Been riding booster straps with FTs for almost a decade. Always went over the tongue. It can kind of negate the top cable. Which actually worked great when I snapped a cable up top and didn’t have any spares on hand. They have been on 5 pairs of boots so far, well worth it. And you can see FT caught on by making their own on this years models. I highly recommend them.

I have the exact year first chair 10 you have and never liked the stock powerstrap. They always ended up sliding down my tongue after a run or two and would have to readjust. Realized its cuz the strap has no give so when you flex, the strap has nowhere to go but slide down.
Ive only tried my FTs with the booster strap at home, and my theory seems to hold up. I flexed em a few times and the booster straps seem to stay in place since they expand a bit. Never actually tried em on the slopes as I ended up with Kryptons this season, but hopefully others can confirm this?

Appreciate your replies. I'm gonna try it with the Booster Straps over the tongue this weekend.
