oldmanskiDo I move to a different country or do I just stay here in the west. I have a chance to go live and work(same company) in the UK for a few years, do I pack up the family and change everything we have going here in the states. Family, friends, comfort, good skiing just to say we have lived abroad. Granted if I was younger and the wife and I didnt have the kids I wouldnt be writing this but rather flying across the Atlantic now, but things are different when you are older. I just dont know what to do, I need some advice. Help a homie out. I know this is personal situation and there are many other underlying issues but I seen this thread and figured I would get some others input.
CLQI am at a loss for words. There are so many pros and cons to this, there with no right answer. You should at the very least wait and see how Brexit plays out before you decide on what to do. I do think it would be great experience for you and your kids, kids can make friends easily so you shouldn't worry to much about that. You can also take trips to alps to get that ski fix and ski resorts 95% of Newschoolers haven't. The more I think about it, the more I think you should do it. There is so much culture and history in Europe that would let everyone in your family grow as people. Flights to other European cities are also super cheap so going to Prague for a long weekend isn't going to break the bank. Anyway this is just a stream of consciousness, hope it helps somehow.
oldmanskiI really appreciate the advice, and I do certainly agree with you. I am headed to go visit family throughout Utah and Idaho for the next few days to discuss and decide. I think if family is willing to come visit(which I will assist with) will be a large factor in this decision making. Again, thanks for the good advice and I will be sure to let you know what is decided.
LonelyDear CLQ,
I've been talking to this shiela for a minute now. What's a good first date? She skis but we don't have any snow in the midwest. Thoughts?
