Yes actually in May at Mammoth -- so spring skiing but we had such an incredible winter and we actually got a bit more pow when I was there. They are not what I expected at all. My other skis are Atomic Tweak, Snoop and Blizzard Cochise and then some assorted race skis to give you some idea.
The blister review seems to be my experience and the shop tech had said I'd be surprised by it not being this burly charging monster. My expectations was a bigger badder Cochise. What it ended up being was playful, light, easy to ski, and more versatile than expected.
Be sure to understand this right, it's a powder ski, but it may actually be one of the more fun tree skis out there and if you end up having to do some groomers with family you'll be fine and won't be annoyed. I certainly wouldn't call it a mogul ski either and the width makes "comp layout style" moguls pretty awful but the normal stuff you see around resorts was fine enough in doses.
Demo them if you get a chance. They are easy enough to ski that even an intermediate could have a little fun on them.
They were different enough and versatile enough from what I had in my quiver that I actually did buy them. If they were too specific to pow or go home I would not have bought them.
