Just wanted to get some info on the Blizzard Cochise or Rustler 11 and your guys' opinions
I ski at snowbird and alta and have thee Surface Daily 120 underfoot, 191 length ( or 192 i forget ) and its a bit to much ski for an average day, looking for another ski for an every day use along with powder if needed. Been looking at the Rustler and Cochise, thoughts?

Cochise will be the heavier, stiffer charger with two sheets of metal and a traditional binding mount. The Rustler 11 is lighter, more playful ski with just one partial sheet of metal underfoot and a little more forward binding mount.

If you’re more of a hard charger, Cochise. If you’re more of a Free Ride/playful style that occasionally wants to rip it up, Rustler 11.

Have Rustler 9’s myself for an East Coast type daily driver and love them. Playful but can still rip when you want.

Like guy above me said, Cochise is a burlier stiffer ski the rustler is softer more playful. The Cochise has two titanal sheets where as the Rustler just has a titanal frame of sorts. I skied on both last week and felt that the edge hold was considerably better on the Cochise in crud (expected) but the rustler's tails also felt kinda soft Imo. I think the Cochise would be better for Alta snowbird conditions.

How do those compare to Kartel 108 or 116 or the Wildcat.
I was on a while ago and i got the surface daily, so good for powder but want a more versatile ski so im selling my old ones and trying to upgrade

Own the Moment PB&J and Bibby too. The Wildcat would have no metal and it’s similar weight to the Rustler 11 but stiffer and charges harder. More forward mount again than the Rustler 11. The king of “playful chargers”

Moment Commander 108 would another one more similar to the Cochise but lighter. 2 sheets of metal but about the same weight as those skis without metal.

Charger-Cochise, Charger that’s a bit less serious-Commander 108 and Playful Charger-Wildcat, Easy going but can still charge when needed-Rustler 11.

I dont see the Cochise being a very good ski for Utah, it doesnt float at all. Especially if you are coming from a Surface that is too much ski sometimes. The Rustler 10 is a good choice. The 11 is a bit burlier. I think the Kartel 108/116 is what your looking for depending on width. The Deathwish is also a killer Alta ski.

I feel you, im 195 5'11 so i feel like the 116 could be awesome, its between that and the rustler 11 i think

Im 6’ 200 and have the Kartel 108 and Deathwish among others. Let me know if you want to know more about either.

Despite really not liking the Rustler 11 at first, it is my favorite ski now...(Alta/Snowbird is my home mountain as well) I think what I like most about it most is it's maneuverability for 114mm underfoot... such that it requires such a minimal change in weight distribution to go from pivoting to railing carves. From a neutral stance you can easily pivot through tight spots and mogul fields, and from a forward stance it'll GS carve the groomers and charge through chop. I think it's best suited for storm days but particularly later in the day and 2-3 days after... it handles that super deep leftover Alta chop really well for it's weight. The stiff underfoot makes it stable when you want to zipperline through it but the light weight and soft tips/tails makes it fun for popping certain features when you want to. My only regret was going for the 188 and not the 191, because I didn't realize how maneuverable it would be.
