Whats Your Worst Crash !

Mine a was hitting a waterfall rail with only 3 drops and i turned left to get on but my far ski got caugh under it , i flew to the end of the rail and decked my chest right on the end of the rail, ripped a hole in my new jacket and had pretty bad busing

I fell on a rail, and I don’t know what actually happened but breathing felt weird for the next 3 months (especially if I tried to breath hard), but the pain wasn’t horrible besides the first like day.

Hurting my knee on a jump was worse pain and a harder fall but it didn’t linger as long.

I don’t know how to compare these cause they’re like inverses of each other.

Definitely first box ever tried. My feet slid out so fast idk if they even made contact lol. Yard sale. Hip and side destroyed. Under the chairlift.


But really most of my worst falls are outside the park. Complete yardsale while sliding a million feet downhill trying to self arrest

Ive been pretty lucky skiing and aside from a few crazy tomahawks and yard sales I really have not hurt myself. When I was 16 I was on some dirt jumps with my mountain bike and I raced back then so I had shoes that clip into your pedals. I hit a step down with too much speed and literally landed on my head from about 15' up still attached to the bike. The impact made me bite down so hard it shattered all my front teeth and I saw stars for a while. My neighbor was a dentist and I got caps on a few days later but one fell off so I had to go to class and work at Quiznos with a fucking half a front tooth that whistled when I talked. Customers literally treated me like an illiterate redneck piece of trash for a week until I could get them permanently capped.

not me but a friend, we were skiing under chair 2 at alpental and ducking ropes to get to good drops, its a 10 inch powder and friend is on center mounted atomic punx. he goes down a chute slams into a lift tower going mach chicken, breaks his ski and somehow doesnt break everything, ski fucked, but you shoulda seen the lift tower

i used to be a little shit racer who had no idea what i was doing in the park. went off a jump, landed on my chest and my head swung onto the ground. got a huge black eye

Hit a tree, shattered my elbow and broke my thumb. not my luck that they would be on different hands, so i couldn't really do anything on my own of a month or so.

in the hobacks at jackson hole. dropped a "little cliff" coming out of the trees. I don't have much memory of what really happened but my cousin saw the crash from below. that little cliff turned out to be not little at all, hit rocks on the way down and then hit my head. cracked the helmet and got the worst concussion I've ever had.
apart from that, broken 4 diff bones skiing years back but the cause of those were really just "shit happens"

I t u r n e d and I think my tips somehow crossed and I got sent flying straight into my face. My goggle lens popped in and cut me right next to my eyelid. I got a few stitches and got back out a couple hours later.

Was cruising nicely on a warming spring day.
Carving slash turns and jibbing on anything i could find until i landed weirdly,binding popped straight off and i slid straight over the whole length of my ski at a pretty gnarly speed.
Sliced the front of my jacket which was a bummer but had very strange breathing and drinking problems for a week or two after,couldn’t hold my breath longer than maybe 5-10 seconds and would just cough and splutter any liquids straight back up.

Oh and that time my mum basically front flipped down the steel staircase of Grand Montets in Cham

I was skiing @ Breckenridge and saw Bobby Brown throw a fat double of Lulu's (a fat cliff in Horseshoe Bowl) Now I know I'm no where near his level, but Fuck It came to mind, and I sent that shit. Over rotated ever so slightly and ate all the shit. My skis broke and I dislocated my shoulder. The worst part was Bobby and his crew were waiting to see who would send it. I do hope they got a good laugh as I rag dolled all they way down.

Overshot a jump in the backseat at about 30 ft when I was 14. Major concussion, blacked out, and shin bang on both legs
Didn't get to ski for 2 or 3 weeks

Never gotten anything super serious from skiing, but opening day this year I got one of the most painful ones. I was tokyo drifting into this up-flat but my ski got caught in the snow and came off. Shin slammed into the up as I fell down moving pretty quick. Shin swelled up to the size of a tennis ball right away and I was bleeding a lot.

6 years ago I tried to nosebutter 3 off a jump but I caught an edge, flipped over onto my back on the icy deck. I was out of commission for almost 2 months.

It was spring, I had just taken a big longboard crash and had a bandaged deep wound on my arm. Did a spring day at Mammoth since I was in the area. It was warm so I was just you know, sunglasses, long sleeve shirt.. Figured it was going to be a nice way to get my mojo back after my big longboard crash. Went to hit a jump, hit a stretch of ice before, overshot the landing, had plenty of time to think how fucked I was not wearing helmet or anything, crashed, bandage fully ripped out of my arm, gave my ribs a good lil crack

mine was going up on a ledge in some glades that i went down just fine but the trail right below had a sharp turn i couldn’t make so i plowed into some trees on my way down a drop off and passed out

Didn't have any speed going into this 10 foot dropper (and the landing was upward), dropped it, landed flat, my knees smashed into my chin and i bit my tongue really hard at the same time. Wasnt very pleasant

On like the first early spring day at Crystal in WA, I went down an unofficial run/ not groomed that I assumed would be nice soft untracked slush.. I arrive in the zone only to find out that this was not slush at all but layer over layer of ice.

Snow was damn frozen and the slope was steep enough that when i lost my edge I went sliding waaaaaay down, not sure how far but it was far enough for me to have a few thoughts. It’s as if in an avalanche. At first I was laughing because I knew I looked like a super jerry at that point. I was embracing my Jerry NesS, And then.. I realized I was going straight towards some trees sliding as fast as one would straight line.

“Oh Shit Shit SHIIIIIT” I yell as I try hard to dig my edges into the straight up layers of ICE. That helped me slow down, to a degree but I knew that hitting the tree would be the only sure way to either stop me or slow me way down.

I hit a tree lose a ski and continued to slide slowly to the next tree, I was lucky this tree wasn’t too big and I was able to wrap around the tree. I was laying there for a good 5 minutes contemplating my recent life choices. Then I decide it’s time to get up and get down to the nearest groom (which wasn’t far and was really mellow. I ended up sliding tree to tree for about 500 More yards.

All in all I walked out pretty fine nothing too severe, I just had pretty bad pain from my lower spine up to my jaw for the next week, eating was a Bitch and hot showers felt good.
