Shift binding toe not locking

Hi, I have a pair of the new shift binding and when I’m touring I will lock my toes into the pins and then the lock just pops down and i usually eat shit. Anyone else have this problem/ any solutions. Thanks

Ya I pull up to lock it, it locks then after a few seconds pops back down.

Are you pulling it to the second click? The second click can be pretty hard to pull it into sometimes. I usually have to do my wife's for her because she can't even pull it hard enough.

Yup that was the issue. I feel like an idiot I pulled them pretty hard but I didn’t want to break them ya know. But I put my boots in and gave er a real pull and got the second click. Thanks a ton!

the second click is full lock out. first click is to about din 7.
still found the first click hard to get into correctly at first. pull harder than you think and pull past it. if you don't get into the second click, it should just stay right where it needs to and not pop back.

I am having the same problem but I am pulling up to the second click (locked position). The force of the tab slipping out of the second locked position pops me right out of the ski. Seems to be happening on just one of my Shifts. Is there any way to adjust that second setting or the distance between the toe pins?

I have stored my boots locked into the bindings on the second lock position in hopes to "break in" that function. They seem to be holding in more resiliently now... but still not as locked in as i would like. Won't be able to tell until next season if they hold in better on the uphill.

Also awaiting warranty shit, went back up for another run recently and same thing, one toe wouldnt stay locked, could almost unlock it flicking it with my finger even. Kingpins arriving soon now, like the skiing of shifts but uphill is just a pain sometimes.

Silicone spray to keep the binding from getting ice/snow in the way which makes it a lot easier to pull the lever and manipulate the binding easier. Put it on both the toe piece and heel piece which keeps snow off which just generally makes it work better.
