Replying to Captis, Bash 89, or TW Pro?
Hey there... need a little help on narrowing down ski selection and wanted to see if anyone has skied both the Volk Bash 89' (previously the Transfer 89, and was the Kink before that) and the Black Crows Captis? From reading previous posts, both look like good options for what I am looking for, but haven't found any direct comparisons. Any help in comparing, or feedback on either, would be greatly appreciated! Also, if you think I should be considering any other options, please share.
As a quick background, I ski primarily in the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast... so the mountains are not particularly large, and primarily skiing on hard pack (looking to be in that 87-92 type width for good edge control). I spend about 75% of the time on-piste (groomed snow, moguls, whatever), and venture into the park from time to time to hit some jumps, but don't hit the rails. I also enjoy skiing switch and landing switch from time to time, which is why I would like to find a ski that is all mountain oriented, but also a twin tip.
Trying to find a ski that is solid and stable enough to hold an edge and not chatter down the mountain, but still has some pop for some fun. I am coming from some line Tigersnakes that I got about a year ago in order to experience the twin tip feel (wanted something light that I could learn some rotations on, and that would let me try out a twin tip with out breaking the bank). Also, I am in the advanced intermediate range (talking skiing, not park), and looking to spend lots of time on the mountain to get better and better.
Thanks for all the help! and please share if you think I should be considering any other skis...
