Replying to 2018 Moment Bibby 190cm
Mounted with pivot 14's for a 28.5 boot (325mm BSL) using quiver killer inserts. Usual tip and tail topsheet chipping and a few scratches underfoot, but nothing major, and definitely nothing even remotely close to a core shot.
Less than 10 days on em. Used them as my jibby pow ski. Boss-level float whilst also being very stable in chop. Amazingly balanced in the air. Stomping landings is effortless. Coming from more traditional skis (a la the 2015 Blizzard Bodacious), I had my doubts about the tapered tips, but these absolutely rip soft groomers too. Where the taper/rocker combo really helps is with easy/fast turn initiation and pivoting in deep/heavy snow. While the RCR design is everywhere nowadays, rocker-camber-rocker profiles with the right taper and flex for true versatility are still crazy rare in my opinion. These things are magic and I love em.
So why am I looking to get rid of them? Actually, ideally I'm looking to trade, with or without bindings, for the 196cm Moment Governors. My internet-informed (hoping I'm right) impression is that the Governor is a more directional Bibby - i.e., a with a more traditional mount point and a bit less tail rocker. I think that could work really well for how and where I ski. Word is they're pretty burly, and they're no longer being sold by Moment so mayyyybe the Bibby magic didn't translate perfectly into the Governor. But I can't stop wondering if the Governor is basically an 11/10th Bibby and I really realllly need to try them for myself.
Will update with pictures soon, but get at me if you've got what I'm looking for. Would also consider 189 billy goats or SG's. Basically, I'm looking for a slightly longer Bibby with a slightly more traditional mount point. Just please don't offer me your Armadas.
