Ever since I could remember, skiing in my backyard has been a staple of winter. I've always made makeshift parks in the past, but this year I have unlimited access to a metal shop with all the right tools and materials to make some kick ass features. I'm wondering if any of you guys have some rails or boxes that you made yourself, and if you could tell me how you built them, and where you got the materials from. Drop some pics of them too. Or, if you guys have any suggestions on what I should make. I have a lot of knowledge with welding and all that, just curious to see how the community tackled this necessity of winter time. Thanks
Haven't really built anything for myself but built some different shit at ski areas. Here are two donkey tubes because donkey tubes are life. For backyard stuff I would say build stuff lower to the ground with super wide feet. Speed is always an issue for most places and rail stability can be a bitch. I'd rock like a 3' foot even on a low rail so if you hit if from the side, swap, or spin out it's not wobbling like a mofo.
