Xx_Ac1dTr1p_xXFiji is pretty good
SharkoDo you think Fiji is a county in the US?
Xx_Ac1dTr1p_xXIt's always been in the US? kinda like Hawaii
SharkoAre you fucking with me?
Xx_Ac1dTr1p_xX.......
theabortionatorI have some good friends in summit county, but I can't do it. I don't want to be close to there even. Fuck. Some people love it, it's probably fun as hell, but I can't do it.
-eREKTion-Mono County California is pretty great but if I didn't want to live in the mountains I would def live in Santa Barbara County.
Hansel9001Explain yourself bogs....
Why u no liek summit county?
SharkoOut of curiosity, why Santa Barbara County? I lived there for 4 years and have strong feelings about it.
The referenced post has been removed.
DIRTYBUBBLEI lived in Summit for a few months. Summit has some really cool people but it also has some of the lamest people I’ve ever met as well.
-eREKTion-Spent a summer in Goleta and loved it. Surfing, camping, biking, there was tons on rad shit to do. The people were cool and it sort of struck my perfect balance of a town that wasn't too big or too small.
SharkoThat's a good perspective, there is certainly good access to outdoor activities and good weather to enjoy them. I probably would have had more fun if I had gotten into surfing or mountain biking, but I did enjoy the hiking and
It was a tough place to live and work for a few reasons though:
- I thought the Goleta/Santa Barbara area was too small for me. It has about 80,000ppl, but since the university is down the highway a few miles the communities were very segregated.
-I thought that the area was a weird mash up of stuck up rich white retired people that run the town, and this invisible poorer population that does all the service jobs. Most of the people I came into contact with at work had this snooty attitude, they thought the town was this paradise perfect community without any real world problems, but they were just ignoring the rampant drug abuse and homelessness all over the downtown area and the city had no real plans to try to fix it.
- I also found that there wasn't much sense of community (with the exception of the very active Latino community around Milpas St). For instance, I worked in the same office for 4 years and never once did the people there go out to lunch or go to happy hour together. They just quietly put in their hours and then went off to their gated communities.
- Rent and food prices are some of the highest in the country.
- No Target stores
- Beaches are kinda gross with oil rigs all over them
- I work in health care, and I found the health care community there to be quite toxic. There were very few doctors, so waits were very long and they had the privilege of not accepting a lot of insurances. Several doctors were fired for sexual harassment, abusing drugs while working, and/or being incompetent, but they just opened their own practices and just kept on working.
I miss some of the friends I made there, but I'm so happy I was finally able to move away.
bike.life.beckMost laid back area out of the US has to be Governor’s Harbour in Eleuthera. No Fire dept, the police station is a Jeep and motorcycle, they just got modern gas pumps this year, everything is more laid back then your grandpa’s recliner on a Sunday Evening. No crime, small island everyone knows each other. And beach paradise 24/7 without tacky tourist bs.
Hansel9001If you think a doctor cant abuse drugs and still be a great doctor i dont think anybody should give your opinions
A time of day.
Just saying...

Hansel9001I went to the club med there as a kid that had the sailing and waterskiing marina at the harbour. It got
Demolished in a hurricane but you can still see the tennis courts on google maps for some lethal grade nostalgia.
SharkoThere is a difference between using drugs recreationally and abusing drugs. If you think it’s okay to prescribe uppers to nurses who don’t need them in exchange for them giving you half the supply, then grinding and snorting them while you are at work is okay, then you are wrong. It’s not just me that thinks so, it’s also the DEA and the medical board. It’s not okay to see patients while high, and it’s not okay to prescribe drugs for your own profit.
I know literally hundreds of doctors, I spend my entire day with them and I train them, and I can tell you without a doubt that the ones that abuse drugs are not good at their jobs. That’s where my authority on the subject comes from, so if you think that “no one should give my opinion the time of day” for saying this, then fuck you.
bike.life.beckHaha yeah I stayed in a house down the beach from there the ruins are pretty cool the big ass pool is still there
Hansel9001Your confirmation bias is very clear. You see
What you want to see. Many drugs that you can get high on not only dont form an impediment to clear thinking, but also can actually boost cognitive functioning. Adderall and pcp fall into different categories son.
Hansel9001Thats fantastic. You take
Any pics?
Sharko- No Target stores
Sk1fr1endI went to school at Humboldt State University, if you want to talk about laid back.... Pretty sure everyone and their cats were stoned out of their minds.
MakressmanSanta Cruz, California
No question about it
Govygen_gourmetGood question
Guess this question is subjective because everybody has their own definition of “laid back” some of us see laid back as gated communities, strict zoning laws, white picket fences, nobody earning less than 100,000 in sight, definitely no niggers
Some us may see laid back as legal cannabis for recreational and medicinal purposes, and yeah That oh and no niggers

IanAvery-LeafI feel you with the rest of your post, but why is the lack of Target something specifically worth mentioning? I know its not as shitty as Walmart but its nothing to write home about...
