Should I detune?

So i'm getting new twins for the first time in a long time. I'll probably be hitting rails the first run, should I detune underfoot to prevent against the chance an edge will rip out?

I know it will happen with time, but i'm worried about a sharp edge ripping out.

unless you're planning on racing on them or something... it's always good to detune before you go and hit rails. so yes. detune. detune, damn you... detune... BLOOM DAMN YOU, BLOOM!

DON'T detune. Thats just stupid. Sure it will help you with rails but it will hinder you going off tables and doing turns and shit. Seriously man having tuned skis is the way to go. plus the skis will naturally dull out if you do rails.

^ yeah the only thing detuning is good for is rails it makes ur skis suck balls at pipe, carving and pretty much everything other than rails

i'm used to skiing with dull edges underfoot, i don't necessarily like it better for rails, I'm more concerned with my new edge ripping out. But maybe with my new pair I'll keep them tuned up, if that's not going to put them at greater risk for damage.
