Replying to First box and rail jam experience a dud

Ladies I’m so mad! My mountain had a box and rail jam and so I entered. They had a women’s category where they combines snowboarding and skiing. The schedule said we would compete at 5pm but at the riders meeting they said 4:30. So when practice ended at 3:30 I came back at 4:30. Come to find out.....the women competed sooner than 4:30! As I went up the mountain to join the ladies they were finishing up! They let me join the men but I knew I didn’t stand a chance against them. They were just too experienced. I messaged one of the employees in charge since I follow them on insta and she verified that since I wasn’t there when the women competed she let me go with the men since I paid. I really want to reply that it’s not fair that they started the category sooner than the original riders meeting plan but I don’t want to be one of those ppl that annoys them so I simply kept my mouth shut but I’m curious to know your rail jam competition experiences. Good bad and the ugly. I wanna know what I need to do to make sure this doesn’t happen again. I really wanna shred with other females.
