all things considered - what's your fav brand or specific model of helmet in terms of comfort/fit/style?

edit: should also ask if there are specific brands or models to stay away from

I have a big head and had trouble finding a helmet I really liked. Eventually I settled on the Oakley Mod5 and really like it. The only downsides are that the pockets in the ear flaps for wireless audio aren't deep enough to accommodate something like Chips speakers, and there's not a lot of flat-ish real estate on the helmet if you're really into stickers.

I can second that, pull the ear pads off that bitch and you can fit most goggles under the helmet pretty well. V compact, v quality, much style

I have had my Giro G10 MX for years and really like. I dont think they make the Tuneups headphone system for them anymore but its nice to have integrated music that also has a mic and hooks to your phone.

Yeah the maze is popular for a reason. Saved my skull many times and I forget I have it on half the time. I got clothes-lined by a branch last spring and the helmet stopped a piece off wood from impaling my skull. I kept it to show my kids how important lids are

Had a Smith Maze for a long time, really liked it, very light and S T E E Z Y but after a couple head bangs in it and a a few years under its belt I decided to upgrade to the Girp Ledge MIPS. Absolutely love it. So +1 to that

Giro mips Baby! Pull those ear pads out ASAP tho. crashed a couple times and it’s stood the test of time, super style, super comfort and super durability

Whatever fits your head and your goggles the best with MIPS. Personally my favorite for my headshape is a size large Smith Maze. I ended up getting it in gray because they didn't have a large in stock and I'm actually digging the color a ton. It looks sick with black stickers on it. Sort of a prototype of look and less common than black.

I've basically always had a Maze, it's so light that sometimes I'll be walking around with it unbuckled and my goggles up and it'll fall off and I wont even notice unless I hear it hit the ground. And It's saved my brain from becoming a peach in a washing machine.
