Poplar, maple, paulownia, beech, fir, aspen, bamboo, oak, yellow pine, birch, etc,.

always been a big maple fan for dampness/durability, but I do enjoy the snapiness and weight of poplar or bamboo/poplar. I don't think I've been on any other wood core than those few

100% bamboo wouldn't work that well. It would be hard to control and way too poppy and wouldn't stay in the turn.

that one time i made skis like 4 years ago i used poplar, it was light flexy and stable. Also lets see if this comment gets deleted.
