Kartel 96 mounting location

I just picked up some new Kartel 96’s in 181 and I was wondering where to mount them. I ski in Tahoe mostly at Squaw and Northstar, but also boreal. I ride a pretty even mix of all mountain and park. I have some dedicated pow sticks for the deep days and some dedicated park skis but they are pretty beat up which means I’ll be in the park a lot of my Kartels. I was wondering what would be a good mounting point for the Kartels. I was thinking -2, but would really like to hear from everyone else.

The line is there for a reason. They're gonna ski the best there and you should really have a good reason to stray from the line. Pretty sure it's not far back anyways? Scott mentioned somewhere what that was. I think it was around -3 on the Kartels.
Mounted my K108s on the line and that feels like where they want to be. Forward enough for jibbing but back enough to stay on top of and blast through stuff. That said, I'll likely be riding them more around the mountain vs the park than you.

-2 is a good call if you have a pretty even mix of park and all mountain. You won't be in deep shit too often either it sounds like. Some people hit center mount in the midwest/park oriented skiers but Id say stay close to recommended/-2 or so

I mounted my ARV 96s at recommended (-3.5 cm from true center) and use them for a similar ratio of park to all mountain as you and I've really liked it so far this season. I think you'd be good in the -2 to -3ish range

Just mount them on the line.

If u just mount them center it will be beneficial to your rail game maybe idk tho. But that would also sacrifice all mountain performance. Also it’s only 2cm back, and if u are used to center mount you probably won’t feel the difference. Have fun out there!
All times are Eastern (-5)
