From today, chest deep!
AbiHWhere is this??
ButteredToast.Oooo my time to shine!!!
In college my teammates and I built a huge rocket for a national NASA competition and ended up winning all the marbles and got 1st place after a whole year of working 70 hour weeks on the project
Looking cool as hell but feeling like I’m gonna puke bc I’m nervous
Loading our hopes and dreams onto the pad for a test
Preflight checks. Knees weak palms sweaty etc
Absolutely YEETIN’ off the pad
All smiles after the launch that won it all
Good times man. Good times.
AbiHThis dope!!! Congrats!!
ButteredToast. Thanks! Yeah it was rad. My favorite thing I've ever been a part of.
Not without its struggles though. A week before competition we had a motor failure (see also: explosion) and our $30k baby exploded right in front of our eyes. That sucked. A lot.
This is what a good launch looks like:

This is what we got that day:

We pretty much left the launch field with a box of parts that day
Awful memories of that launch. I'll never forget the pit in my stomach watching our precious baby shred itself to bits and flush months of work down the drain. Lots of teammates who I though were unshakable shed a lot of tears and it was a nightmare from hell for us team leads. But hey! We did it! Beyond cool to watch the team rally, pull together, and miraculously rebuild in a week. Taught me a lot about what people are capable of when they really care about something and what real teamwork is like. Very surreal to come back from that and win it, sometimes I think back on it and still don't really believe it.
Ok I'm done now lmao
SharkoVery proud of this. Painted it while stuck at home recovering from a collapsed lung last month.
WalreeseDid this the other day. One of my goals 2 seasons ago was to do a big backflip and now 2 years later I have done it.

Not the coolest thing that I personally have done but my girlfriend cooked this the other night for me and I was pretty proud!
QuaffSpent three weeks living next to Rock Creek in the Beartooths. Nothing but skiing, hiking, fishing, and campfires the whole time. Had several moose and bears around camp the first week before summer crowds showed up. It was such a peaceful, beautiful experience, I have dreams about it all the time.
AbiHThis place is amazing. I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite place on earth so far. By any chance were you there in July, and skied with a random redhead chick with a green pack?!!!

Month long canoe trip on the Nahanni river. Coolest place in the world.
Sad_BoiGotta impress strangers on the internet.
AbiHNow you gotta I explain cause these are neat
duhamelskiFirst was the aftermath of dropping addrenaline last year. The video didn't upload but you can see it here:

The others were from Burning Man and NYE in Berlin a couple years ago. It was a complete war zone!
SendyMcSendyfaceGot my pilot’s licence

Real shit though, realizing you are flying an airplane, alone, is one of the coolest things ever
SharkoWhat am I looking at?
Sad_BoiShould've explained. It's an EOD bot pulling a car. The promotional video for the bot had people sitting in/on the car, but I don't have a picture of that as I was one of the people.
Here, some glamour shots:
AbiHEOD?
Sad_BoiExplosive Ordnance Disposal. It's easy to get used to using jargon all the time.
