LordPeekAre you loosing battery because your batteries ain’t supporting the cold??
LordPeekAhaha I should have think try to find a cheap cover you can put over you phone to protect it from cold or get a case for your phone to have extra batteries and keep it warm which is what I personally use
LordPeekI mean more a case like this
noah_jaff3hmm that is interesting. I have an iPhone 6s that is beat... I am considering just getting a new phone and calling it a day

Calthecrookedi have a 6s and it does the same shit, if the phone is cold to the touch its gonna die no matter what battery percent youre at. im just a cheapo so im not copping a new phone till this one is done fr.
MUTEDLTD.You 100% need to get some hand warmers in your pockets (toe warmers also work). They sell them in 10 packs at Walmart for a few bucks if you don’t want to buy them at a ski shop, they have them on amazon too. Put some in your pocket where you keep your camera gear/iPhone before you put on your skis and get on hill. It’ll keep your equipment nice and toasty so when you go to actually film it won’t die on you within 5 seconds & you can record a good bit of footage throughout the day since the hand warmers have a few hours of heat in them.
JacobGehrettBro I had the 6s and same thing happened every time. I never filmed but pulling it out on the chair to text or whatever caused it to die at like 50-60% battery... Just got the iPhone X with a nice case and I have a full charge after a whole day. Yeah upgrade that!!
edaiFuck I'm reading yours and all the other 6s posts such a shit problem to have, how do I even get an upgrade in 2018, that gonna be like $800 or what?
Currently I wear 1 of 2 windbreakers I own with kangaroo pouches, I keep my phone plugged into a portable charger in the pocket, honestly still dies tho, major sad
IanAvery-Leafsmh at people who just upgrade solely because their batteries wear out. A battery replacement strait from apple has been $29 for all of 2018, and is going back up to $49 instead of the standard $79 after the new year. $49 is nothing to get the performance of a new phone again, without actually paying for a new phone
toastYes this exactly, not sure why the downvotes. Old batteries are like 90% of the reason for iPhones crapping out after a few years and thus dying in the cold all the time. It's literally so easy and cheap that you can do it yourself you don't even need to take it to apple.
