Catching edge on rails

So I got some new arv 96s and I keep catching my edge in rails. Keep in mind that I had a shop detune them underfoot and after a day of catching my edge I took a dummy stone the the edge underfoot and I'm still catching my edge. I notice some pretty gnarly marks on my skis. Should I deburr them and keep hitting rails until it detunes itself??

Probably edge high skis. In that case to just "de-tune" is not going to work.
You would be well served to apply a long base bevel right away, before you harden the edges too much from banging rails.

A long base bevel is when the base bevel extends into the base plastic about the thickness of the metal edge.

Stop sliding the rail on your forward edges. Land flat and grip with the trailing edges

Semi-related question: How far should I detune my Wets? Just under foot or should I go under the bindings themselves as well?

Also everyone talks about natural detunes.... How do I naturally detune these???? They are so sharp and the edges stick out so far that even attempting a rail is a death sentence lol. Do you guys just hit boxes and such until they wear down a bit and then head to rails?

If the ski is properly tuned for rails one can slide flat and even a bit on the front edge no problem.

Therefore, double the steeze.
