LonelyThis learned me something. Thank you
.MASSHOLE.No problem.
I really understand the people who are frustrated with the tenants of globalism that have really hindered those who have lost their jobs because of it. It's a very valid complaint and one that should be addressed by the government. The problem is, it's easier said than done.
But downsides of globalism are heavily outweighed by the upsides. The one a lot of people tend to forget is the lack of major global conflicts because of this interconnectedness.
I figured the first statement may have been satirical but you can never tell with politics.

milk_manThe conservative stance on globalism really doesn't make any sense. Isolationism doesn't fit with true conservative values imo. Having countries focus on their competitive advantage and what they can produce most efficiently makes the entire world better off economically (though it might hurt some people temporarily)
zaching11As a political science major and freakier. I’m pretty conservative on a majority of issues. Plus you gotta respect a man that gives no fucks about what anyone thinks of him (Trump)!😂
Monsieur_Patatelolwut?
It's actually the exact opposite, the guy constantly lies in order to try and convince people that he is the greatest. Every single time someone says something bad about him, he is going to tweet about it to tell them they're wrong. He cares waaaayyyy too much about what everyone says or thinks of him. He takes credit for everything good that happens even if he has nothing to do with it to try and look good. He feels obligated to tell everyone how great he is. Seriously, I don't know anyone who cares that much about what other people think, what the fuck are you even talking about?
zaching11You have to keep in mind modern conservatives (example; myslef) are completely aware of climate change and support a ton of liberal views like marijuana legalization , LGBT right etc. There’s going to be a massive shift in conservative politics in the next 10 years that resemble a lot of the lefts social views , but keep the conservative economic views in tact.
zaching11Sophomore studying political science in NH ... a lot more conservatives in college than you’d think, they’re just not vocal about it. You always have to keep in mind , a large majority of People who vote conservative aren’t vocal about. We have a republican President , majority in the senate , and a majority of state governers. That doesn’t happen if a lot of people don’t support at least most of the views of the party
LonelyYikes. Looks like we’ve got another republican snowflake on our hands. Go identify as an ar-15 or something.
mystery3Correction in another five to seven years he will have a fully developed brain. Your other points stand.
This thread has some interesting opinions and I'm in favor of those trying to keep it civil.
.MASSHOLE.Uhhhh.....
Do you know what gerrymandering is? Have you seen the electoral lines recently when they've been overlaid with racial ones?
Come on.

deathcookieIf Obama were white and a Republican you would be praising everything he did, because of your "conservative values."
zaching11Not even going to argue on the electoral college and gerrymandering.
Read this; https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/06/could-gerrymandering-be-good-for-democracy-119581
Of coarse there’s ups and downs for both gerrymandering and the electoral college , but it’s the nature of poltics. Side note , did you vote for Elizabeth Warren last cycle ?😂

CLQYou think you're so smart telling people they "can't comprehend" things when every sentence you write is full of spelling and grammar mistakes. You're just a dumb yuppie

zaching11Notice how I’m not calling people dummies, dipshits , and yuppies ? Let me ask this, where are you from and do your friends and close relatives have the same political views as you ? You could be living in a bubble where you only here one side of the story. I guees the a massive portion of America are dumb yuppies because Trump was elected president. News flash: it’s because of liberals like you who freak out and call people names. Facts don’t care about your feelings , that’s what America decided in 2016
*TURBONERD*Coupling left-leaning social views with conservative economic views is essentially saying that you support oppressed people/classes but not enough to actually do anything about it.

*TURBONERD*I would say that using the emoji you to ridicule how you assumed somebody voted is pretty comparable to a more straightforward insult. On another note, are you from NH? If so, whereabouts? I grew up there, and wouldn't be surprised if you're living and/or grew up in a bubble; large parts of it are quite conservative - there's a reason the Free State movement chose it.
.MASSHOLE.More like the GOP decided that alternative facts are the only ones that matter.
zaching11How about your liberal alternative facts ?

.MASSHOLE.What makes you think I'm a liberal?
Have you read anything I've posted?
Also, find me a single mainstream politician who has supported anything even remotely close to what you posted.
Cheetodawgbro wdym? That's literally what a lib would do. Drive around in there Toyota priest and be pansexual. wtf

AndrewGravesSVHe means that a lot of conservatives who call out liberals for being triggered snowflakes often shut down or fly into a rage if they hear anything contrary. Fucks sake we can't even talk about gun control without everyone getting triggered and saying "BUT MUH GUNS. OBAMA GONE TAKE EM ALL"
.MASSHOLE.I'm not sure I 100% agree with this.
I tend to espouse a few conservative economic views at face value (less government spending, a change in tax structure, etc.) but I think they can help accomplish liberal goals.
Cutting military spending (along with other programs) could help fund liberal goals to increase safety nets for the oppressed.
Changing the tax code on the 1% to separate the 0.01% from the 0.1% from the 1% could help increase tax revenues.
Changing certain burdensome (but not harmful) regulations could companies accept an increase in the tax rate.
There are a lot of things you may consider "conservative" but can be used as tools to support liberal policies when implemented correctly.
Just because they say they're supporting conservative economic views doesn't mean the revenues from those policies can only be used for conservative goals.
AndrewGravesSVAlso how is the Republican party going to become more socially liberal when a large part of its base is so against abortion and gay rights. For a lot of people these issues are ideological which means they won't budge. With politics being so polarized now its becoming all us vs them with little discourse and even less rooted in facts

CLQI don't give a shit about your political beliefs, i'm just saying you sound like a dumb yuppie. You think you're smart, when in reality, you come off as very stupid individual who can't write basic english. Which is the most dangerous type of stupid IMO.
zaching11Your @ is Masshole... safe to say you lean more liberal especially if you’re arguing with me.
zaching11Dangerous type of stupid lol , this is newschoolers 😂😂. You want me to start trying and using different words and correct punction? Would make your day or something ?
**This post was edited on Dec 24th 2018 at 2:13:40pm
CLQYou could try not being stupid but you can't change stupid. What you can change is your attitude, you are a pretentious prick.
CheetodawgThat’s what everyone thinks about us. All we want is everyone to have the same rights. Us conservatives think it’s stupid how women, lgbtq people, and other races have more rights than majorities like white males
zaching11Go back to identifying as an Apache helicopter or toaster “dipshit” lol
zaching11Lol back to the name calling cuz you’re to idiotic to explain your political views. Classic left tactic. don’t use facts, only use emotions

CLQYou called me a racist before you edited this comment lol
*TURBONERD*What are the rights you want everybody to have, in your words? My understanding of US conservatism is that it's based on rights that are focused on freedom to, rather than freedom from.
Also, what rights do the groups you name have that white males don't?

Rum_HamI’m conservative and think you’re a moron if that makes you feel any better.
Come back when you’ve actually thought through your ideological platform and have a basic understanding of how things work outside of your own bubble.
