Replying to Candide 3.0 or 4.0

Hey Newschoolers,
Having some trouble deciding between Candide 3.0s with pivot 14s and Candide 4.0s with pivot 18s which could give me the potential to create a touring setup at a later date. I live in Rhode Island and mostly do 1-3 day trips up to VT and NH. Ill ski powder maybe 1-3 days a year. Having powder skis on the east coast is not always conventional (especially living in RI), but when you have them after a solid foot it's way better. Right now I have Al Dentes Which have served me well as an all mountain and park ski, is it worth the money to get a pair of 4.0s or go with the conventional decision the 3.0s which, will give me an extra 11mm at 108mm as opposed to 97mm.
