Replying to What draws white males to action sports?

So first of all I am not even intending to come off as racist I am just pointing out the fact that nearly every action sport is predominately represented by white men. Which is not bad at all, on the other end of the spectrum all other (recreational) sports like Football and Basketball are predominantly represented by black men. And so their is where my question begins.

Why are white men more likely to be drawn to action sports than any other group be they White women, black men, hispanic men and women(of any race), asian men and women, etc.

You can argue that there are indeed people of other groups that participate action sports (I know quite a few black and native skiers and snowboarders, and plenty of women participate in the sport). They are nonetheless a minority in the community and many of them just do not share the same passion for the sports as white men do. Like i said they merely Participate in the sport they do not consider it to be something they Love to do but rather something they enjoy maybe for like a total of 10 days a year.

You can also argue that as the world diversifies, and more people of color start to have access to more money and opportunities they will eventually take interest in action sports. But this is just not the case. People of other groups continually show a lack of interest in action sports, and rather they tend to gravitate more towards conventional sports like I mentioned before Football, Basketball, Etc. Even those people of other groups who can afford such luxuries of action sports (we all know its not cheap) will have a preference for their conventional sports.

So what gives, why are white men the only group who show genuine interest in action sports? I decided to take this discussion here because I know NS demographics to well.... You are all lovers of one of the largest action sports industries today and that is Skiing.
