Also all ski companies should do that will bulls eye thing it's cool

Hey, that's us!
I've have been on newschoolers for 8 years and started building skis myself 5 years ago, with the help of the guys like Logan Imlach in the ski building thread on here I developed the prototypes and have now gotten to the point of moving to factory production and sales of Fauna skis will be starting in the new year!
Newschoolers got us where Fauna Skis is at today so look out for more from us on here.

These look like a very original and interesting concept for a ski! I have never seen a small start-up ski company with woodgrain style topsheets. Seems like they will do very well in the highly competitive ski market.

Not everyone wants a butter noodle. It’s actually a super small market outside of NS. There’s a reason almost no major or indie brands produce a ski as soft.

With HG gone there’s a gap in the market for fun, full camber parks skis and this could possibly fill the gap really well.

Thanks the original inspiration for the wood veneer topsheets was from the OG all-wood steam bent skis but at the time I was developing the first pairs, ON3P and a couple of others were starting to do it too and I loved it. Took some working out to get the pieces of veneer topsheet to work in prototyping and we found a small specialist factory willing to work with us on them at scale.

we've not got designs on a narrow rockered super noodle like the wet but we've skis in the pipeline more akin to the wide.

Thanks, the wood sidewalls has quite an interesting effect on the flex and pop, unlike plastic sidewalls the hardwood adds to the flex of the ski rather than dampening and so without knowing, the amount of pop you get can take you by surprise.

A guy i worked with at sunshine village for past 2 seasons had a pair and swore by them. Cool looking skis would definitely pick up a pair depending on their price as I'm a broke uni student.

That's my friend Hugo, we sent him some skis for testing while he was out in Sunshine and NZ,
Thanks. They're going to be going on sale in Feb at £420 ($715CAD).

Hugo is an awesome dude great guy, very good guy to have to ride your skis always talked them up and was a good skier on them. Price is a little steep for me but I assume many people on here can afford.

idk dude, sure not everyone wants a butter noodle but tons of people do. There are countless "recommend me the softest possible ski" threads. Vishnu is already sold out of skis, whereas HG was usually still trying to sell skis well into winter. Also every major ski company makes cambered park skis similarly shaped to HGs that cost a lot less. I totally agree that full camber park skis are great especially for the EC, but I think Vishnu has tapped into something that a lot of other companies have overlooked in terms of what a certain type of skier wants.

Sure? Most people today couldn't ski pow on straight skis, nothing wrong with technology allowing people to have more fun on the hill
