Yea, I was in a shack when a forest ranger with a badge and a gun busted in and gave almost everyone tickets. Happened at a Colorado resort about 4 years ago, there was resort staff leading him from shack to shack.

Once when I was in college I was on an Amtrak train--this was in the south, back when they had smoking cars- and I was in there smoking a cigarette across from a very old woman. All of a sudden she takes a bowl out of her purse and starts hitting it, and I'm stunned. Then the conductor comes in and she quickly hides it, and he's saying " I know what you all are doing in here!" and starts threatening to kick me and this other young guy off the train, and doesn't believe us when we say it wasn't us because who's gonna suspect the old lady. That was one sly old lady.

I've seen tourists getting forcibly downloaded on the gondola because people can't handle their shit or ate too many edibles. Blame goobs like them who ruin everything for everyone else. 95% of the time Vail's just trying to run a business without being sued into oblivion from the same type of goobs who can't handle their shit.

Was shocked how few whiffs of nug I got across a week at Vail and BC. I couldn't partake as I'd have bought a lot to fly back with and I had to stay on top of work since I work remote just drank beers and skiied but I got like 2 faint whiffs over 7 days and that was it. I thought every Gondi would STANK like nugs.

If you get caught smoking weed and get a ticket you deserve it. If your so stoned you literary can't notice a bright yellow jacket safety nerd or a cop coming up to you, your doing it wrong and should be stopped.

The best part about smoking and skiing is ducking in the woods behind some log or rock, hiding from yellow-jackets and thinking that ski-patrol actually gives a fuck....

Never been caught by any authority but some funny stories:

My buddy had his medical card back in the day when CO was medical only. He had a little pouch 'Kit' with his pipe and an eighth of high grade medical. Anyway we were at Copper and it fell out of his pocket at on the lift and a lifty found it. We went to the lifty shack and described the package and my buddy told them, "Anything consumable in there you guys can keep if you give me the pouch". I have never seen such a big smile when the lifty handed the kit back. He was dealing at the time so weed was basically free for him.

I was at Snowbird once and hiking over some rocks on Baldy's Bowl. I was going over some rocks and stopped on the side of a outcrop to take a smoke break. I took a big puff and held it in and just then a 10 yr old kid comes out of nowhere and just looks at me while I start to turn red holding in smoke. I started tripping thinking his Dad was going to come around the corner and finally shoved my face into the snow and exhaled into the powder. The kid just kind of stared blankly at me while I silently put my skies on and skied off.

At gore in 2007 we got 12 people in an 8 person gondola. Im pretty sure we had 13 to start with. They yanked one of us out the door. Then as a blunt was going around t3dizzle was adding up peoples weight to see how much we were over capacity by. I think a couple of us were in work jackets. I think we might have gotten bitched at for it, but nothing really happened. Any other time getting out in a cloud of smoke nothing was ever said. Then again probably 3/4 of the employees smoked there at the time I think.

At west a couple years later there was an igloo with a plywood roof next to the park, but right under the lift. Dumbass would always smoke out of cans and leave that shit in there. The owner came screaming over there on a snowmobile ripped the plywood roof off and drove away. I can't remember if it got knocked down or if we had to tear it down. It was a pretty terrible place for a smoke shack though. Right in the base area.

Yeah (Utah) I got caught red handed with a glove coozie in one hand, spliff in the other by a patroller. He ended up killing it while I finished my beer. Cool guy probably around 65.
