At the moment I get the most enjoyment out of watching Jake Carney. Overall favorite skier ever is a hard decision but either crazy Karl or the Pretzel man are two solid contenders.
Truth be told, I don't really have a favorite skier nowadays, I appreciate those with great style and ability. In terms of each realm, I could narrow it down a bit:

obv candide, but....recently I learned about Stein Eriksen when I started working about deer valley. He is a very cool skier to watch if you can find a video. Seriously... It's lilke the other thread promoting no poles. So many kids seem to think it's the way to go, I'm loosing hope in the next gen of freeskiers.

Literally 4 years ago is old wave, he’s not talking about the age, he’s just talking about the tricks, as you probably know, new wave tricks have been popularized in the last 3-4 years.

I understand that. But I wouldn't consider switch ups and stuff old wave. Old wave I think of the early T-Hall days and the original park movement. Even then I think old wave is a dumb term. There's been many waves of skiing.

Meh people have been riding no poles for a while now. It's more so that people hate on people with poles that is ridiculous. I was rocking poles in the park last year and these young teenagers looked at me all intrigued/confused and asked why I use them. It was weird.

Tanner Hall- Best charging style and its dope he always hits a feature again if he wrecks, even chads gap. Stoked on his return to skiing with 'Here After'.
Shane Mconkey- 100% OG hero growing up and basically pioneered modern pow skis with revers side-cut. The dude literally mounted bindings to waterskis and took them to AK.
Seth Morrison- Also an OG of big mountain skiing, I doubt anyone will ever huck as hard as he does.
Cam Riley- Dude hit the giant rail at Chase Middle School in Spokane for Grand Bizarre. I grew up around that rail and never imagined anyone could ride that shit.
CR Johnson- Probably the coolest guy I ever met and he helped Tanner out during some of his really dark years of addiction. RIP man.
Jesper Tjäder- Not the best technical park skier out there but I always get a kick out of his edits and his unique perspective to features.

imo the new wave started when the first bunch bounce was done in the 1000 segment of far out
