Replying to Cheap accommodation near EU resorts

Hey, I'm heading to the EU for some ski bumming in March. Planning to hit up Mont Blanc, Chamonix, and Verbier. Does anyone have tips about how to find cheep accommodation? It seems like hostels aren't really a thing at the resorts. Hotel prices are out of my budget. I might end up renting a van and living out of that, but I'm not even really sure how I'd arrange that. Figure some people here might be able to give me some pointers. Thanks!
