DesertStixVery plainly state that they mounted your skis backwards (there is no disputing this) and you’d like to speak with the shop manager to see what your options are. Even tell them your travel situation, etc. Be as nice as possible but let them know this is a pretty large problem and you need a resolution in the form of a ski setup in the same price range as you spent. I wouldn’t allow them to suggest a remount for those.

Personally I would never go there again. One time is one thing but both pairs of your skis? Wtf... Did you take your skis to the spot where they cut your wood for you at Home Depot?

teamSESHI'd talk to the owner if possible. Sounds like it could be an employee issue more so than the whole shop. He shouldn't be mounting skis. Now I'm paranoid about getting my skis mounted even though my local shop is legit lol.

They redid the mount and refunded me completely. Not too bad of an outcome but the tech was a prick saying I shouldn't mount them center and how I'll float more having em back... It's like man I know what I want. But yeah 2/10 if you're unsure about which way to mount a ski just call me or ask uncle Google geez

Strange.Journey.same question. they should not only refund you but replace your skis entirely. and if they fucked up the mounts on the hellbents and put more holes in the ski than there were supposed to be per the binding they also should replace those for greatly reducing the structural integrity of that ski

-eREKTion-I'm assuming you didn't buy the M5's or Hellbent's from this shop so they can't just hand you a new pair, unfortunately. It also sounds like they "repaired" the damage as best they could but they still Swiss cheesed two pairs of your skis. Structural integrity is compromised and resale values are slashed on your sticks. Further, these dude's don't sound like rocket dentists and I'd be worried about the integrity of the current mounts. No matter how you shake it, you got fucking boned homie. If you're fine with a waived mounting fee to remedy hundreds of dollars of damage, that's your choice but you deserve more. I'd ask for a fresh pair of skis from the manager.

whiteboiHit them up right now, don't wait that long or else they're not gonna take it as seriously. call the shop, ask for the managers contact information, either call or email him/her and be very straight forward with describing the situation that you're in. In my experience, shop owners/managers are usually pretty willing to help people out who give them business when something goes bad on their end

OregonDeadYou absolutely need to talk to the shop owner. Use the internet to talk to him on your trip if you can’t sooner.
If I was the owner and you asked me I’d buy both pairs of skis from you cash USD so you can buy new skis. No other way to really comp for the extra holes
Shop can just mount up demos and rent them out or whatever it shouldn’t be your problem
