Ski size

Hi
I am 6’ .5” and about 160 lbs. I ski fairly agressive and would consider myself an advanced intermediate skier. Would 180 cm sin 7 skis be too long? Longest Ive actually skied on is 165 cm. Calculators online says I should ski on 176.

Especially in the west, with your height you’d be fine with the longer skis. You’ll find they will actually be way easier to ski down the steeper slopes and powder that the west has to offer than with your shorter skis you normally ride. You wanna look at the waist of the ski as well to see if you are wanting a thinner or thicker waisted ski. You would definitely benefit from the longer ski though so go with that.

Why the sin 7 and no 180 would not be too long. You could ride anywhere between high 170s and low 190s.

I found them for a good price, i like their graphics for 2018 model and seem to be a good all mountain ski. Thanks for the reply

I’m 6’1” and I ride a range of 178-186. Normally I shoot for the longer end of that range too. It just feels more stable front to back and gives a bit more lift on those rare east coast pow days
