Vail resorts has finally done it.

I have purchased an epic pass from vail ever since the introduction, while I've had my griefs sometimes such as getting stopped by yellow jackets for going too fast etc. The ability to ski so many resorts for a cheap price since I average 55-60 days a season has always been worth it over the bullshit. Until I pulled up to the keystone mountain house lot by the Peru chair that I noticed all parking in this area is now $10 every single day. The frustration being in mountain house parking lot there has been a pay lot and free lot since its inception. Of the 40 some days at keystone I ski a season the pay lot was only full 1/4th of the time. Of course vail has gone Rockefeller mode and made every lot in the area pay lot now. Leaving the only free lot in all of keystone the main lot that fills up quickly on a weekend. Why Vail must you go acquire resorts in Japan and force lower 48 US skiers to deal with this bullshit? I parked at that lot almost every day I skied keystone last season, meaning I would have to drop $400 a season on parking if I were to continue my ways. Therefore I have made a petition in attempt to make the mountain house lot free on the weekdays at keystone. I would appreciate your signatures, thanks.

eheathAnyone who thinks OP is spoiled or entitled has never skied at vail resort for more than a week at a time.

PC is probably going to end up doing the same shit soon, there are two lots on the PC side that if you've been to PC before, theyre not very big. For now, theyre free, but they're way too close to the resort, Vail will make them pay lots eventually, because thats what vail does is make as much money as possible.

Solution? Ski somewhere else, vail aint changing my dude.

I mean not really. Powdr has this planned well before they lost their resort to Vail. Big difference was Powdr planned for Woodward to be in the lower lot with small outdoor mall area and 5 story parking in upper lot.

Vail just sold the land to develop with im sure kickbacks all over. Now when done you will pay $20 to park but can get uggs While walking to the slope.

Dude I'm fucking so hyped, I get to be an employee at PC and pay to park there!!! Cause saving up all my money for ski gear and gas should totally be wasted on a fucking parking spot, I know they do good to the industry but

And yes I see that powdr wanted to do it before, but still why do families need to now spend $2k+ on epic passes, $1k for hotels, whatever on food, rental gear and now to fucking get on hill they have to pay, they better make this shit good cause the lot there is a shitshow already.

I’m sure they will just have you Park at Munchkin Shop/lot and bus you over. Until they sell that chunk of real estate.

Usually employees of Vail park at silver king the tiny one across from the main lot, I usually park at the furthest up lot for work, once got called out by the dorky ass parking mgr and was told to park at the high school and bus over, I knew I'd park there again so I kinda just gave him sarcasm, parked at the big lot and threw my snowpants on and walked up like I was skiing all day, now I have to fucking pay to do that, unless employees get free on hill.

Employees won’t have to pay for parking. It’s always free for employees to park, it just might not be the most convenient of places.

Yeah, I'm fine with the actual lower employee lot being the one as long as theres space for 80+ people, just gonna dress in khakis and boot up at work whenever I freeski I guess to avoid paying.

smh come out to VT on a good slush day bro, you'll absolutely love how the sun doesn't come out ALL day. Even for weeks at a time! Its what makes riding here so great. The hardship.
